Liverpool emerge as favourites to sign Gelson Martins

Liverpool and Arsenal have emerged as the front-runners to sign Portugal international Gelson Martins, who has terminated his contract with Sporting Lisbon.
After Sporting Lisbon’s training base was attacked by around 50 supporters, several players took the decision to terminate their contracts with the club and are now on the market as free agents.
Martins is in the process of having his deal with the Liga Nos outfit canceled and if he comes onto the market as a free agent, Liverpool and others will be keen to take advantage of the situation.
His current contract has a £52million buyout clause and would represent a fantastic bit of business if signed for nothing.=========================================================
