Cause it makes you laugh hard with all the parody humour and sometime bout how stupid they can be, wc really make it somewhat depressing when a serious arc starts to play. It makes you laugh then makes you sad and even cry. its like a tragedy hidden in a comedy i can't explain at all hahaha

It have some serious parts, but without the comedy, it's not the same... Skip episode 1-2 it's filler, instead of watching episodes 58-61, watch the movie: Shinyaku Benizakura-hen - Just better overall... After episode 265, watch Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya. I also skipped Gintama at first because of the filler episodes, didn't understand anything at all... But after hearing so much about it 2-3 years ago i decided to give it a second chance. Best second chance of my life time :3
Skipping fillers in this show is a bad idea, because in Gintama it's actually good imao... Only skip episode 1/2 in this show, you will thank me later :3
yeah! it's totally worth of watching (of course without skipping episodes). like ThatGuy smiley said, gintama is not same w/o comedy. when you watch every episode of gintama you will get yourself more into that show and when it gets serious it will be way more interesting to watch than just jumping straight into the action and skipping all funny parts.
