- Ah the Wherry Lines, picturesque, stunning detail, flat.It's been a while since I've driven on it so I thought we'd fix that, and take the opportunity to drive the wonderful Class 68!

Whenever moleman drives the 68 it reminds me of the stream when he completely obliterated Banbury and the super 47.

I think the Class 68 might have become one of my favorite locomotives as well. It is quite a sight. Also that shot near the windmill gave me nostalgic goosebumps.

8:52 Berney Arms is in fact THE LEAST USED STATION IN THE UK as of 2020! Fantastic!
The bump at Great Yarmouth is legit as well it’s exactly like that the track seems a bit bent I’m from Norwich so it’s a route close to home

Great Video! Great Yarmouth is my local station I love it and especially all the kind of trains you will see such as the 68, 37's but now it's 745/755!

Still used in Scotland. Nuclear flasks have a 68/88 they also occasionally pop up on the Containers to Inverness
plenty down in yorkshire with TPE/TPEX/transpennine exspress do miss seeing em in leeds as im use to stopping in the house alot i dont always go out much anymore
The two times I've been on this line I've missed the loco hauled services... ☹️, first time was a pair of overcrowded 153's with the 37 short set being the service after, and then a 156 back to Yarmouth, then the second time I was on a 156 and the 68 short set was the service after

im use to seeing DRS trains hauling the nuclear flasks, i forget they pull other coaches
cant beat a 68 beastly locos seen em at york and leeds 1:30 brutus is litrally with transpennine express among some others and a big kitty ive not quiet caught up with yet having mannaged to escape me in leeds bound for Scarborough do love a good 68 though epesh walking under the station when theres one there loudly ideling above
I've been on the Wherry Lines once on a GBRF Railtour. Great Yarmouth Station looks much better in the game than it looks IRL!
Did see both 37s and 68s. Sure I've had Fearless on the Fife Circle. They are awesome!
I really wish I could have seen the Scotrail 68 sets, however they were weekday only and I had no choice but to visit Scotland on a weekend, nevermind, at least it can be done in TS still!
Moleman978 I'm really going to miss them. The 68 hauled sets were so much more comfortable than a 158 or 170. More chance of getting a seat at peak times too on them.
They were also better than the 67 hauled sets that preceded them. The MK.2s provided by DBS were pretty ratty. I remember that their springs were so worn that the suspension would bottom out on a bump just before Inverkeithing tunnel! Something that never happened with the DRS MK.2s.

15:27 there is a 88 in TS, its literally just the 68 model with a pantograph fitted on
As far as I'm aware though it doesn't have altered sounds for when running on electric, and in reality there are a lot more differences to the roof than just the addition of the pantograph (not forgetting as well that the cab would have panto controls)

16:28 it's not a good idea to stick a pantograph on a Voyager because Voyagers (as well as their Super Voyager and Meridian cousins) are awful trains.
Forget no signal at that single station, you won't get a signal for much of the time on a 22x train because of the metal screened windows, that block out 3G/4G signals.

Great video, some nice long straight sections so surprised about the low (60) limits? This looks ideal to do a speed run on :)

If you're not used to seing a 68 with a panto then I don't think you should visit germany, all of our electric locos look like this. XD

Also I don't get why that bridge is 20/60 limit? why not just strengthen the bridge, or just let everything run at 60
Strengthening the bridge would mean closing the road and railway, which is a lot more disruption for only a couple of train sets that are affected by it (now none following the introduction of the 755s)

I'd definitely go for electric 43s over electric 220s/221s/222s. It would be nice to re-purpose the old rolling stock, especially since I love the 43s :).

I hate these locos they're so bland and the sound is just quiet and undistinguishable. I prefer the 37 by far. Still a nice vid though.
