homo neanderthalensis is not even a different species : it's the same species - as we have been reproducing with each other without any problems... the assumption : that "they did not create art" is therefore unreasonable and probably racist :)... the reasonable assumption is to say: they probably did create art... they still do... as they are not actually extinct... but we haven't found the artworks... in case of the more ancient artworks at least... :D
