The video did not show if the 2 batteries were at different voltages or how much current was coming from each. I would expect the higher voltage cell to drain down until both cells are at the same voltage, then both cells would drain together to supply the load. Now to charge these you would need another shottky diode in the reverse direction, and you can charge 2 cells at the same time. Sounds right?
It should combine the current and not the voltage. So the higher voltage battery would drain until it is equal with the other cell voltage. After they are at the same voltage, both batteries will power the LED at the same time. This is what I wanted to see in the demo because I want to combine 2 dissimilar batteries to power my E-bike without blowing up their BMS or catching on fire from reverse currents. All this video needs is voltmeters on both those batteries and then we would learn a lot :)
Hi I need to have a circuit in which the current come from the higher voltage. this circuit is a reserve circuit which helm me bring the battery into it when the electricity cuts off is there any body here who can help me in this issue ? thank you all so much
