ok, I have a guitar and a fairly inexpensive amp... I'm by no means a musician but have been debating starting a pedal board, so that I can run the amp basically clean/flat, and use pedals to get tones for certain songs... my next amp will likely be one with an FX loop. once I started looking to pedals, power supplies, etc... I realized it would quickly cost as much as some of the multi-fx pedals like this one... just a tuner, tube screamer, reverb, and wah pedal , with power supply could add up to the price of this...or more. So, I'm thinking that until one of my kids or I get good enough to need more, one of these would he a great start for playing around and learning, and experimenting with tones. Would this work, along with other things after it, such as a Line 6 M5, and a JamMan, Trio+, or Boss looper...or is it meant to be used alone without other pedals? if my little amp sounds horrible, I could always plug it into some of the EV powered PA speakers I have here. thanks for the video, any advice would be great... I'll have to check out your channel to see what else I find.
Hi nabor. Nice review dude. I have the same unit. Love it, well built and great value... But the plastic knobs and pots seem like a week point to be careful not to step on. You should have demoed the 40 percussions and the 40 second looper. Also the stereo out with Ping Pong and two amps is a trip. I also run tracks on a phone through it.
T.D.S. Do you have any experience with using the Octave pedal controlled by the Exp pedal to do something like a 1up and 1 down octave? I'm trying to emulate Muse' Fury. Some say to use a Whammy pedal or Octave. Not sure, if you have suggestions...I'd greatly appreciate!

I am debating to get one of these three? I play alot of classic rock, AC/DC, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, 38 Special, Greenday, to name a few. +ziggy8757 I've used both, and still have an MS-50G in my board. They're really apples and oranges. While the soom has all sorts of effects/amps etc. you'll never have the switching capabilities with it, or expression pedal, that the RP360XP has. IMO the overall sound of the 360XP is much better. I only use the 50G for 3 basic settings of reverb/delay/boost at the end of my main pedalboard, whereas I use the 360XP as an all-in-one easily portable rig for a couple cover bands and other small gigs. The cab sims leave a little to be desired in both units (the MS50G's cab sims are a bit better IMO) but I don't use them on either unit. I use a Logidy Epsi Cabinet I/R loader when I go direct live or add VST impulses when tracking.
+buzzsaw63 Yes, that is the ideal way to use it per its design. Go from the outs into a rackmount power amp, or to your amps "effects return" and then cabs. Remember to bypass the cab sims when using it that way. Using it to the "input" of an amp will mean you're adding the amps preamp section on top of the RP's preamp, and will color the RP's tone to some degree.
After watching Your video I was playing-through this unit today. I don't know how You get this nice, juicy sound. They gave me 1000$ Ibanez with DiMarzio pickups and some Roland 1x10 amp. The sound was awful - plastic fantastic super digital, it remindes me my old RP3, kidding, it wasn't that bad, but it was bad. I did not buy it, didn't want to risk. Maybe I will try to purchase via net, so I can return it without a problem. Or I will stay with my first choice and will buy secondhand pod hd500?

I would like to have some fun with dealeys etc. Vypyr doesn't allow that kind of deep editing, so I look for some multiefect and I want set up it with PA - on YT that setup sounds more than good. I was thinking of vypyr pro 100 too. With digitech I was feeling this digital sound and weakness under the fingers which I don't hear on Your and others videos, so probably the amp is guilty.

I owe viewers an explanation. Eventually I've bought that Digitech. I plug it, like I said before, into Alto ts212w active speaker and it sounds great! I would say the factory presets is not so good, but my own settings are preatty fine for worship satan :) as we say :). I recommend this equipment, especialy when You are on budget.
Are you serious? They don't support the only currently updated version of windows? Wow they are complete fucking idiots - well thanks for the warning, they can stick their pedal right up their asses, they are obviously incompetent. Now I need to find a good multi-effect pedal with good long looper - they are not easy to come by. :(

While this is a great demo, I can tell you the RP presets are terrible. Get in and tweak, esp on the cab sim assortment and its waaaaaaay better sounfing than this. I like his playing here, but the presets blow hard on the RP, you have to tweak.
I bought rp360xp few days ago, and it's unbelievably good multi effect pedal, with tone of possibilities..
Just bought one yesterday mainly for modulation effects to my synths. Liked your demo, you look real and honest.
