the problem in this deck is the soul fragment animation makes it way longer than it otherwise could be

While it is pretty funny taken out of context :P it is actually easy to understand why this statement has value. If he were playing against a more aggro type deck, he could simply sit back and control. Here though, he's underlining that he actually needs to race the other player down before they can get their combo off. He's therefore adjusting his stance and game plan accordingly (This is for people who take the joke too seriously and might actually think this is him being "dumb")

I've always loved Malygos decks but I'm to unlucky for this one. Literally the first time I tried it I use my first plot twist to complete the quest 16 cards left in my deck. Polkelt in hand Maly in deck ready to setup the zero maly next turn but top decked maly. I try my second plot twist first two cards drawn back Alex and Maly so no discount. Did manage to win though because it was against that freeze mage Trump posted earlier this week minus the earthen ring farseers.
I can’t believe how long some of those standard cards lasted in HS. Mortal Coil and Soul Fire were in pretty much every deck for 4 years.

He actually went 6-0 with this deck. I'm impressed
It's almost as if having a brain makes difference using this deck.
His other streams weren't as lucky, plus there were a few mistakes that could be blamed on lack of practice with it.

Then go back to face hunter, paladin or priest where you belong. Way better to see someone pilotting a deck that requires brain though.
@@Willowisp927 why so hostile? Playing a more difficult deck does not make you a better player than someone else. Part of being a good player is knowing what you are good at.
I think miracle decks (in most cases thats just a control deck that wins with a combo) are typically the hardest to play.
I think it seems more difficult than it is because of how many options there are and how much Trump thinks about what to do.

I'm confused, what if you draw into Alex instead of maly and discount that? Do you instantly lose? The most you can do with full cost maly is 9 damage soulfire.. Which last I checked is not 15 with Alex.

He could be one of the best players in the game if he stopped taking 45 seconds on a turn that requires 5 seconds of thought.

The amount of "cheating" this deck does it feels like you're playing a yugioh deck against hearthstone decks. It's honestly the first deck that's seemed interesting enough to make me want to play the game again
When I first started playing this deck a few days ago I used polkelt into hero power and immediately felt like I was playing yugioh and I just special summoned malygos from my deck
Plot twist is literally card destruction xD. It is very much like yugioh and I really like it in hearthstone (more than yugioh itself actually)

Have been playing a very similar deck but I use faceless instead of Alexz so the Maly always gets discounted. It's easier to combo.
Bad order with the alextraza. Should've Alextraza'ed first THEN netherwing to get the 3 damage face so he would of been 12 so you wouldn't have to worry at 41:08
