Due to timing and I am glad you clarified that you can do this in parts, I’ll need a few separate days. Probably not the most efficient but you gotta do what you gotta do.

    Did my first coat of your Graphene on a black '15 GLK 350 and left stripes on the hood. I think I left it too long because I was waiting for the "rainbow' to appear and dissipate, and never really saw much of a rainbow. For the rest of the car I stuck to the "tacky towel" method and waited only 30-45 seconds and it seemed to be fine, but I'll have to redo my hood.

      Hi Matt, that's great to hear! If you still have any hesitation, the advanced spray coating is a much easier application process than the small 60ml bottle of the advanced graphene coating. The spray coating is a great intro to ceramics and offers protection of 6-12 months or more with one application. One 12oz spray bottle will usually coat 6 or more vehicles as well!

    I have a Pearl white 2019 Acura SUV. Prepping and apply this product was A B$TCH. But it turned out perfectly and the hydrophobic properties and everything else that you would expect from a ceramic came out 💯. You NEED patience. Lighting won’t help because the pearls reflect back and hinders the flash visibility making it impossible to see any flashover. I had to go by timing each section at a time. Wait a week before the first wash and let cure in the sun for 6hrs after the initial application. Nowadays something as cheap and easy a garden hose nozzle from Walmart can clean all the dirt off. But i still use foam.

    I think there is another thing to add on is that not many people have a garage or a garage that is big enough for their car to fit inside. If I’m not mistaken, ceramic coating needs at least 12-24 hours to cure.

  • @BJP719
    @BJP719 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    For me, it's not the application time that's difficult to accommodate. it's the curing process. Hard to do a section of the car, keep it clean and dry for 5 days, then do another section the following weekend without the car being completely destroyed by the elements (dust, water, etc) here in Colorado Springs.

      You can do it outside, it's just better to do it really early in the morning, but not in direct sunlight, try to avoid evenings because morning dew can affect the coating when it cures overnight. Start by really deep cleaning the vehicle, then take care of any visible scratches or marks, and lastly coat the car, work in very small sections at a time when outside. All of this doesn’t have to be done everything at once the same day.

    I've really enjoyed polishing and ceramic coating our cars. Thanks for making great products. I took a three year old black truck that had scratches all over and blew people's mind at what could be done.. I am interested in the idea of picking up and older car that has paint in bad shape, polishing it and then coating it. If I want to pick up, say an old Mercedes SL500 with single stage paint, could I polish it and then ceramic coat it like i've done with our newer cars?

      @Austin - may be a bit late to reply; but I've always heard you should NEVER apply in direct sunlight. So, you'd want to wait for a cloudy day. The other challenge will be to keep dust from settling on the paint, then getting trapped under the coating. If you have plenty of shade or cloud cover, you could coat, then let it cure in the sun after you're finished (e.g. later that day, the next day, etc.)

I have seen using my bottle, that after just a few minutes, the "solids" settle to the bottom of the spray bottle and what you displayed in using this product is the WRONG way to use this formulation.... TO EVERYONE - You need to shake this spray product before EACH SPRAY to the applicator pad.... Just say'in....

Could I use this on the plastic? If not, what do you recommend? If so, interior and exterior, same product? Thanks!

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Christopher, congrats on the new Bronco! You can use our graphene ceramic coatings on the exterior plastics as well, but they do require a little more care and caution. You will want to make sure the plastics are 100% clean before applying - clean with Tire & Rubber Cleaner and an Edgeless Utility Towel until you no longer see any dirt or oxidation come off into the towel, then use Surface Prep to remove all of the Tire & Rubber Cleaner residue. When you coat exterior plastic trim, you must wipe away the coating residue just as you do on paint, but I like to wipe it away more quickly than paint - 10-20 seconds or so. If you do not fully wipe away the residue, some plastics have a tendency to turn a chalky grayish-white afterward. Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating will be easier to use on exterior plastics for a more even finish than the 60ml coating bottles. Myself, I like to use Graphene VRT on exterior plastics every few months to maintain them instead of using one of our more semi-permanent coatings.

    Can the advanced spray be sprayed onto a Irregularly shaped surface and wipes to spread and then levels? I’m talking about rims, plastic trim that is textured, and the front grill. Places that the normal applicator quite reach into?

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To a degree, yes; however you will need to fully wipe away the coating residue just like any other painted surface - otherwise it could dry as high spots that appear cloudy or even an oily rainbow appearance. For textured plastic trim especially, you must wipe excess away - if you do not, certain types of black and dark gray plastic could potentially turn white and cloudy. For a front grill, you could spray it directly onto the grill, but you will still need to wipe into each grill line/honeycomb/square/etc. You can wrap a microfiber towel around one of our Interior Detailing Swabs to get into tight grill areas.

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel! The UV glow does fade away over time, but the actual coating will still remain. The UV tracer is only used for an application aid to make sure you have covered all areas. Some areas may glow stronger than others depending on how thick it was applied, but the key is to see full coverage. How long ago did you apply the coating? The UV glow will usually begin to fade after a few weeks.

    So I have your Graphene detail spray in the grey bottle . I’ve read how to use but is it a ceramic coating in its self as well ?

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, thanks for the question! Our Graphene Detail Spray is not a full ceramic coating, but rather it is a graphene ceramic-infused maintenance spray for a ceramic coating. It contains reduced graphene oxide and sio2 in a water-based formula, to give approximately 1-2 months of protection per application as a standalone product, or to use to refresh the hydrophobics, gloss, and slick feeling of a coated vehicle. Our Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating in the 12oz bottle is a ceramic coating in spray form that lasts up to 1-2 years. It is solvent-based and made into a sprayable formula that requires flash time and cure time, similar to the 60ml Graphene Ceramic Coating that lasts multiple years.

    How long after your ceramic coat can you drive it outside in the rain

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว

      With our Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating shown in this video, the spray coating needs to cure for 4-6 hours minimum before it can be exposed to rain or moisture, but 12-24 hours would be even better. With our 7+ year Graphene Ceramic Coating, it needs 24 hours of cure time before it can be exposed to rain or moisture 👍

    How are you using that Graphene spray indoors. I bought it and used it in my garage with the door open. Within a min it made me a bit nauseous and a headache was stating. I had to wear a respirator mask to finish the car. I sent it back because who releases a product with such a harmful noxious chemical smell. That was my first and last Adams product.

    • @Theseones

      always wear a mask, gloves, protective eyewear and work in a well ventilated area, use common sense, these are dangerous chemicals.

      @@Theseones Someone is an Adams fanboy defending them. In 15+ years I have never had another product that is this awful smelling and makes me start to feel sick in mins even with a garage door open. Every other reputable company out there has no issues with this on any of their products. Plus this stuff was a joke. On a my fresh clayed, polished and panel wiped truck. After 3 weeks the graphene spray looked mediocre and was hardly even showing hydrophobics after a wash. Glad I sent it back

    I'm not a pro detailer, I'm just a regular guy with a brand new 2022 f150. I want to protect my new dashboard but I don't know what kind of material they used on it. ( I don't think it's leather) and I don't want to make it shiny. Is there a product for this that will dry dull but still protect?

    • @Theseones
      @Theseones 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      most vehicles have rubber or vinyl in the interiors, try to find a product that will protect it and not increase shine or gloss. Use very little product on a very small section and se if it only deepens the colour or if it ads shine aswell, then you can decide wheter it's worth doing everything or trying another product until you find the one you like.

      Gently wipe with damp microfiber cloth. Frequent gentle cleaning is ideal. Try 303 Aerospace Protectant esp on seats where friction will occur (butt rubbing)

    So you put the coating over polish?

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there is no protection in our Polish. Our Polish is not a wax or sealant - it is strictly used to remove fine scratches and imperfections, and bring out more gloss and depth in the paint. You then use Surface Prep to remove any remaining residue and oils from the polish and your hands before applying the ceramic coating 👍

    What about I don’t have a garage?

    • @AdamsPolishes
      @AdamsPolishes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Harvz, if you don't have a garage, you can use our Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating outside on a nice day. Our spray coatings only need 4-6 hours of cure-time before they can be exposed to water or moisture, so they can be applied outside, unlike our coatings in the 60ml glass bottles that require 24 hours of cure time indoors. If you do apply outside, try to apply in the shade, or out of direct sunlight if possible. You will notice that they "flash" or "rainbow" very quickly when outside. If it is a hot, humid day, you will need to wipe away the residue more quickly as well. Try it out on a small area first until you get the hang of things. Let us know if you have any other questions!

    What about cure time. I dont have a garage. So what about dust? Or rain?

    • @Theseones
      @Theseones 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      dust shouldn't really be a problem, but water and insects or bird poo is, so don't coat the car if it's going to rain the next 2 days, because the first 24-48 are most important for the coating to cure properly.
