  • One of the best ways to improve musical timing is through clapping, stepping and dancing with rhythm exercises. It's All About Rhythm is a course designed to get you moving with a variety of rhythms in various meters so that your inner rhythmic self becomes stronger.
    *Order It's All About Rhythm at www.didgeproject.com/rhythm
    Hosted by Afro-roots musician Kevin Nathaniel, the It’s All About Rhythm Introductory Course covers a wide array of rhythms from the most basic three and four counts up to complex claves and syncopated patterns in 8, 12 and 16 count cycles, and more. This class is for you if you want to improve your sense of rhythm and timing, to play better with other musicians, and to take your music to a higher level.
    As you go through the exercises in this course, you can clap, step your feet, sing and even dance to the various patterns. As these patterns become more and more complex, you will become more and more rhythmic yourself.

    I'm a trainwreck with rhythm, but I got glimmers of hope, even at the last hard one. Bought the course just now. Wish me luck ending a life of clapping when everyone else isn't.

      😂 If the clapping isn't going to work, you should consider writing blogs or short stories. Your comment is so visual and hilarious!

      I would like to know how to use the count in playing an instrument, guitar, piano, or singing.. I appreciate the clapping with counting, how can this be transfered with an interment.

    • @didgeproject
      @didgeproject  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@feelingsoulgood you can play the instrument instead of clapping with these same rhythms. then you can add melodies to these rhythms or play chord changes with these rhythms. try experimenting and see how it goes.

    this was really good for me because i have a great ear, very good sense of rhythm, but if i'm with another musician and they speak of types of rhythms in beat / numbers - i'm lost. it's like adding math for me. This helps me get that.

      At a certain point in your musical development you need to develop your own custom exercises and practice them with discipline. this way you can achieve your goals without waiting for someone to tell you what to practice.

I love when people can sing rythm with phonetic, i see very well trained musicians using that route, helps so much with memory, any how thank you great video , going back to practice!
