It worries me watching people use this on stream water. You're putting the lip in the dirty water and then putting your mouth on it. Also, stream water should really be pre-filtered. Even mild amounts of turbidity can have very significant effects on the log reduction. I also would highly recommend doing the adventure mode at least twice if it's river water, and as always agitated during the UV treatment. Honestly, maybe more if it's not pre-filtered, is cold, and/or the water could have viruses. It only barely meets the EPA standard of 6-log for ecoli/salmonella after 3 minutes in deionized water, and that's only a mean.
