    This is the first review from the last 5 reviews I seen on youtube which has done the water tests. So far this is the most informational review,

    Thank you for actually testing the LARQ bottle to see if it actually kills bio contaminants. From what I see it seems like it gives peace of mind for tap water, water fountain water and other more clean water sources that could have bio contaminants or after sitting around for awhile could. Like from different tap water sources this seems useful especially if you are traveling around etc... I'd love to see a video where you use tap water or even water from a water foundation. I know that's not it main purpose but it is the use case for most people to see how contaminated the water is and how well the LARQ actually does.

    I'm having that bottle for more than 1 year now. I love it but yes, it does not integrate any filter. PureVis 2 model is coming on October WITH the integrated filter. It looks great and it is 1L instead of the 720ml. Take a look on their website you can even preorder it. Note the new PureVis 2 model is compatible with the normal filter and also another kind of more advanced filter that blocks heavy metals and other stuff.
    ===> thank you for the review, I share the exact same opinion about that bottle.

      @@TenThousandLines Feels wierd that they don't just sell the purevis 2 on there own site? They started on kickstarter then switched to Indiegogo. From the seems of it I can only buy the purevis 2 on Indiegogo and not there official site? This seems quite weird to me. I still buy it but I'd like them to just have all there products on there official site as they are already started.

      Last place I'd ever buy a water bottle. Call me whatever but the last thing im doing is drinking out of a water bottle some else drank out of. I don't even really care drinking after people if I know them, I'd just pay the full 125$ for a water bottle that saves me time for cleaning it less that's worth it to me.

    My only question is whether or not I have to clean it still. I hate cleaning my water bottle. I’m drinking basically only tap water so i don’t care about filtering or cleaning it, but if it can keep the bottle clean for weeks without me using soap It’s an instant buy. 😂

    • @TenThousandLines
      @TenThousandLines  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lynxrbeam8732 Hmm from my experience you’d still need to clean it once every 3-5 days. It definitely stays cleaner longer than a regular water bottle, but i’ve noticed it still gets dirty around the mouth of the bottle - especially if you’re using it while eating.

    Guys remember this is bacteria. Yes UV kills bacteria but the mineral is still there. So if you're informed that the tap water, river or any kind of raw water contains heavy metals below 0.01 ppm then go for larq.

    I don't want this bottle. No need all that function, it's not worth it with 125$ . Better buy other brand like Yeti, Stanley, KK, Zojirushi, Hydroflask, Kinto, Revomax, Camebak...etc ,just about 35 bucks then you got a cool ultimate insulated bottle.

    As soon as the guy said it's as effective as boiling water for 20 minutes, i knew he was full of shit because boiling water for a few seconds is just as effective as if you boiled it for a whole hour. Of corse, clearly the bottle works, but its more of the matter that the guy is full of it.

      When sanitizing/sterilizing it is all about the sterility assurance level which is the percent chance of a harmful microbial surviving the treatment. This is usually looked at in terms of kill percentage and how long it takes for 90% of a microbial population to be killed off or one log reduction. This amount time is known as a D-value. This amount of time varies depending on the contaminate in question the temperature of exposure (if using thermal treatment methods usually 121.1 degrees C) and materials involved in the treatment (ie 316 SS). In order to obtain a specified SAL using a thermal sanitization method a certain amount of time is required where the environment must be exposed to these high temperatures. If a temperature of 121.1 dC is used with a known D-value of 2 minutes and If the exposure time is 2 minutes then this will result in one log reduction. Meaning 90% of microbial population will have been killed. However if we increase this exposure time to 20 minutes this is a 10 log reduction and 99.99999999% of the given microbial population will have been killed off. The higher the risk the longer the exposure phase should be.
