Grills and smokers don't necessarily need a tight seal around them. Airflow is good and gases that build up need to escape. There is a video somewhere that shows a smoker exploding due to gas build-up. I've never done seals or gaskets on any of my smokers and always had excellent results. Additionally, there are holes on the back of the grill to allow smoke to escape. You need the airflow to promote combustion and convection.
No chimney on that one? I see the smoke coming under the door. If there was a door gasket, the smoke would not escape!
