    Fun fact: Look at the ingredients list for the original Szechuan sauce from 1998 and the re-release that cost someone their life. They're not even the same sauce. People were scalping, attacking, and even going as far as to stab one another...and it wasn't even the same sauce!

    Just wanted to add the KFC is the mad lad of fast food. When people in America voiced their concerns with how unhealthy fast food really was, restaurants took action by introducing healthier menu items or removing terrible options, like McDonald's removing the super size option. KFC was like "here's some fried chicken sandwiched between two glazed donuts. Screw you."

    • @realwiggles

      I’m pretty sure the exact opposite has happened over the last decade or so. Sure, they canceled the salad shaker but also eventually added like 5 or 6 full-on salad meals. I’m pretty sure the majority of fast-food restaurants have added a number of “healthy” menu items. The rise of fast-casual restaurants, like Chipotle or Panera, was heavily influenced by a societal shift towards healthier eating. Even KFC, who hilariously introduced a sandwich that substituted bread for donuts, added grilled chicken to their menu.

    Mini McPizzas are a secret menu item in some places, since all the stuff except the sauce is readily available. It depends on if someone there knows how to make it.
    About 15 years ago when I worked there my manager showed me how to make them.
    The crust is just the biscuit dough, shredded cheese is on hand, and so is steak, chicken, ham, and bacon.
    The sauce is the tricky part, I recommend BBQ sauce and a bit of ketchup.
    You bake it in the toaster ovens for a few minutes.

      All others cannot even compete with them.
      And as far as KFC is concerned, it's the skin that gives it flavor.

      Those were the days.

If you thought that burger was huge, What-A-Burger had burgers bigger then your hands and they were so good that I couldn't have finished them in 1 sitting. @@chiarosuburekeni9325 True - the Whooper actually has a few more calories and less protein than a Double Down. I think people see the the fried chicken with bacon and knee jerk while thinking the burger has to be better when it really isn't. They're both rather terrible options. Burgers tend to be deceptive - the buns are often at least 200 calories, then all the sauces on them adds at least a hundred if not way more. The meat has saturated fat and the vegetables are typically non-existent or empty. I mean, it kills me that Wendy's threw a fit over the T-Rex but still sells a triple patty bacon cheese burger or people whined about the Double Down when KFC is all about fried chicken in general...

I had a friend that worked at one while we were in high school, and he found something amazing. You could "super-heat" burgers in the ovens for short bursts of time, and not burn them. I used to always order two cheeseburgers and ask to "queue them as code 302" which was the time it would take to do two Big Macs in the oven, instead of the smaller burgers. The Double Down usually turns up once a year in the UK as a limited time item, so someone must be buying it!
    Hotdog stuffed pizzas are still a thing over here and are definitely a once in a while treat.
    The McRib is also still a limited time item in the UK, but it's never really appealed to me.

    The "cheesearito" is a standard menu item.....and has been for a long time.
    It's called a Quesarito, because it's a quesadilla turned used as the tortilla for a burrito.
    I can order one right this second. 2am on Easter morning.
    It's $4.19, and 640 calories.
    Beef, cheese, nacho cheese, sour cream, rice, chipotle sauce, and 2 tortillas.

    I'll be honest with you here, Strider. As an American, I can most certainly confirm that we have more than a bit of a problem with fast foods that could potentially cause health problems. Examples of this are the Meat Mountain from Arby's, the Triple Down from KFC, and the entire menu of a restaurant that is literally called Heart Attack Grill. I'm not joking about that last one, unfortunately.

    • @slimer2135
      @slimer2135 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      You say that as if people are regularly eating meat mountains or at the heart attack grill. It's a novelty. Heart attack grill knows they're unhealthy and they make it known to the customer, it's the whole theme of the restaurant

    • @pagananarchist4723
      @pagananarchist4723 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@slimer2135 you do have a fair point. However, my point of bringing these up wasn't to make it seem like it's a regular occurrence that people would be eating stuff like the meat mountain or the Bypass Burgers from Heart Attack Grill. I was simply using those as examples to make my point that there is an issue.
