I think I've bought 7/10 pedals you've reviewed in the last year and a bit. Your creativity as a melody maker and guitar player are insane.. By far one of the best YT Channels for guitarists on the internet PERIOD. I actually think if you were to realize an album it would blow up WAYYYYYY bigger than you could ever imagine...!!!!

I love your end of the year reviews. While lists are not the final say as you justly mention, they certainly help to focus on important highlights in a world of vast options.
Your comprehensive insight along with the imaginative and creative guitar clips, give your viewers important points to consider when looking to purchase an effect pedal and offers a strong enough knowledgebase for them (us) to take a chance on ordering products online without trying them firsthand.
Due to your reviews and informed analysis I bought two pedals online this year (without a demo in the store). I took a chance and knew I most likely would not be disappointed. The Thermae and the Avalanche Run have been the kind of pedals you told us they would be.
I've been watching your videos and I love them. I appreciate the layout of your videos and find them inspiring, informative, and engaging. The content is precise with clear emphasis on the logistics, your formative feedback is genuine, your thoughtfulness into how you present the sound of these pedals while being true to yourself makes a visit to your channel comforting.

THANX for another great end of the year vid friend! 2019 was the year. I (and many others it seems) embraced the “wobble-y”. I fell in love with Vibrato for the first time with the JAM Ripply Falls (Waterfall circuit) Vibrato. It sounds like an old Italian man pushing a vending cart through the streets of Venice at dusk. Then I turned Vibrato on its head with the Champion Leccy The Woozy. Wobbles continued with the Demedash T120 Videotape delay.
Maybe the harshness of reality in 2019 had me needing to experience it on shaky, wobbly ground- with the necessary fluid mindframe to stay afloat among these current violent tides. Thank you for another year of inspiring sounds to calm the mind and nourish the “soul”. Happy New Years!
fantastic! I want to buy all of these. I finally got a chance to play a Cirrus a few days ago. I only had about 25 minutes with it but oh my god, I was deep inside the wormhole 5 minutes in. Thanks for your fantastic videos/demos/reviews. Can’t wait for more in 2020

Love you Stefan. My favorite pedal of 2019 is Chase Bliss Mood, no doubts. I think I can't even consider it an effect pedal anymore, it fully brings you in the realm of sound design and sample mangling. Same goes for the Zoia, I'm digging that thing! And the super-sweet Hedra is the next on my to-buy list :D

All worthy pedals Stefan especially the Hedra and Cirrus. My best 2019 purchase however was the Walrus Audio Slo. As you might say, "soft floating dreamscapes".

Nice list! My number one this year is the Iridium fro Strymon. It completely changed the way I thought about amps and I designed my latest (and best) pedal board around it. Number two was the Two Notes CAB-M

Awesome list! I have both the Zoia and the Hedra and they’re incredible. Still getting used to the Zoia but the possibilities are literally infinite, and the Hedra is every I ever wanted in a pitch shifter

Great list Stefan - my favourites would also include CBA Mood and Blooper, Strymon Volante and Drolo stretch weaver. A top ten of the last decade would be a great challenge. So much great gear to be had these days!

The video was great man. I didn’t really pick up any new gear this year surprisingly. My newest pedals are the Hologram Infinite Jets and the Fairfield Shallow Water. The Solid Gold Lysis and The Caroline Somersault were some of my favorite demos you did this year. Also the Merris Ottobit Jr has been on my list to get forever now.

@@thepedalzone Everything about his work ist just right. I bought the Horizont and the Fuzzly Bear, both pedals one of a kind. These were for sure not my last Kma pedals!
And one thing to add; of course i bought the pedals after i checked your videos on them. They made it much easier to decide! Espacially the perfect Lego Spaceship soundeffects.
You're top 2 are also in my top 2. And in my top 5 on next.pedals to buy. That Cirrus and the Hedra sound gorgeous

Joey Beatty - It easily could. It’s been my go-to reverb for close to 3 years now. It’s really good. I could easily have all Meris pedals on the list. They are all incredible. But I think it’s best I search deeper since I’ve already mentioned Polymoon and Enzo from Meris. But those two absolutely need to be on the list.

My #1 this year is the Source Audio C4. What an incredible piece of gear. It's a true wormhole in terms of what it can do.

I love the fact you are playing a j mascis jazz master in this video.’I just bought one the other day and I absolutely love playing it.
The only problem is I am not playing my Strat or Les Paul anymore.
But I really like the jmascis for ambient stuff.And yesterday I bought the Earthquaker dispatch master v3 yesterday aswell.after watching your video.

Good call on the Neuron, used it on everything I've recorded this year! The Walrus Slo has become indispensable for me, especially for sustained ambient pads and shoegazy single note stuff.

The Zoia for sure is the best pedal of the year/decade imo. It's sooooo powerful. empress, ruler of the pedal empire.

Depends on what you want and need. Enzo is richer, more 3 dimensional and way more customizable. A platform that lets you mold your own synth tones. But it also has a steep learning curve and isn’t necessarily instantly gratifying. SY-1 is built around a ton of preset sounds. There’s not much room for customization. What you get is what you get. But it’s super easy and intuitive to use and very instantly gratifying. Only you know yourself the best. So pick the one that fits you as a musician and human being the best 👍

ThePedalZone I know you’re a big fan of the Data Corrupter (me too!). The PurPLL is different enough that I kept both. The PurPLL is way more controllable, has a wider range of options, and tracks flawlessly. I love Data Corrupter for its more unpredictable nature.
Hedra is magical. Me and the synth player I play with both have one.

my favorite pedal released in 2019 is the ehx attack decay. favorite pedal i bought in 2019 is the eqd data corrupter. favorite gear purchase of 2019 is the return of my mascis jazzmaster-- had to sell it several years ago. the very same ax showed up used, at my favorite shop right before christmas, so i brought her home again.
Nice ones, man!! Attack Decay looks like a ton of fun, and I know for a fact that the Data Corrupter is crazy fun. It was my favorite pedal of 2017 😊 And good you got another J.Mascis Jazzmaster. It’s such a great guitar 🤘

@@thepedalzone it is a great feeling. i had to sell off a bunch of guitars 5 years ago, and this was one of the 3 or 4 i really missed. getting it back was my own little holiday miracle!
Great video Stefan but you've just made me even more frustrated than ever! I chose to buy the Rever over the Cirrus just before OBNE replaced the Rever with the Minim (they don't sell the Rever any more) and I have to agree that the Cirrus does rate higher in terms of sonic possibilities. Bad decision on my part 😢. Oh well.
In terms of other pedals, have you looked at the Mastro Valvola LEM? This would definitely make it to my top 10 pedals this year, although to be fair I don't think it's fully available until next year. Keep up the good work in 2020 👍
Cirrus isn't that expensive though. So if you want it, then you should be able to get the money for it quick, if you unload some gear. Rêver is still a great pedal though. No, haven't tried the Maestro Valvola LEM, so can't give any insight there.
