Forgot the key change to Stealth in the video... The line of fire to an adjacent character is not considered hindered anymore, meaning you could use Outwit on an adjacent stealthy opposing character, for instance. And, in hindsight, the change to Barrier is certainly worth mentioning; the blocking terrain markers don't need to be placed in clear squares any longer. Thanks to Mikeneto the Great for pointing these out! Another thing I missed (human person, here ;o)... Battle Fury doesn't have the Safeguard: Incapacitate, but a character using Battle Fury can't be given action tokens by opposing effects, which is an even more powerful protection. Thanks to Matthew Ventura for picking up on that one.
I practically cried when I heard they removed indominable. My Yugioh clix finally have a chance to stand up to other clix now. Because more than half of them, even some of the boss clix, didn't have indominable.
Great video! I've been playing clix since 2003. I'm interested to try out these changes. I think its important to cut down on massive alpha strikes and this should help in that regard. Also really looking forward to the new ww set.

@@TheTabletopTeacher Great video! However, is there any way you might edit it to include the two major changes mentioned by Matthew above (Barrier, Battle Fury), plus the Precision Strike change that allows for multiple targets? That way it would truly be comprehensive.
1:29 leap/climb work well with powers that occupy its same slot and so the power itself is as useful as when it was a MOVE (pointless outside of special powers or traits). Good start.
This is obviously better, but there are some things I miss. Like the different levels of objects, for instance. It’s probably better this way, but it felt right that hitting someone with a fridge would hurt more than hitting them with a bowling ball.

Wow, I haven’t played heroclix in almost 10 years. I was excited to get back into them, but after watching all these rule changes, I’m starting to remember why I stopped...
MOVE, in all caps, is one of the four non-FREE actions in the game (POWER, CLOSE, RANGE, MOVE), but "move" is something a character might do as part of an action. Let's say a character can use Phasing/Teleport. If the player gives that character a MOVE action to use Phasing/Teleport, that character will get the improved movement that comes with Phasing/Teleport. Let's say this same character can also use Running Shot; the "move' part of Running shot doesn't grant the improved movement they would get from using Phasing/Teleport.
Im wondering about House of X Forge's Perplex damage "+2" if you share 2 or more keywords .... because it seems like it could still apply to changing damage

@@johnnyboatfield9489 It's all good and happy to help. When it comes to learning to play, as long as both players agree on how something works, it really doesn't matter. It's only when you get into 'official' play that little details like that start to matter.
It would seem that only difference now is that heavy objects can only be picked up by characters with Super Strength, but there might be other details in the Comprehensive Rule Book.
Quake says, “if 1+ characters were targeted each hit character is dealt 2 damage instead of normal damage.“ Pulse wave wave says, “if 1 + characters were targeted, each hit character is dealt one damage instead.” So since the wording is similar, you can no longer single target pulse wave for full damage or single target quake for full damage.
For Pulse Wave, that is correct; whether you are hitting 1 or several characters, damage dealt is always 1 from now on. Since Quake grants the Knock Back keyphrase "outside" of its multi-target effect, you could very well make a regular close attack (with full damage) and cause knock back with that attack.
I find the new rule book doesn't have enough information for some things . The pac is fine somewhat I just wish there was more of a core rule book with all the rules to deal with everything that might come up

The no indomitable and ‘leadership like’ change to Willpower is interesting… Was looking at an old assembled team and debating about it as no one with willpower and only one Indomitable BUT since they did away with protection from pushing damage- problem averted lol. But still…. Annoying that some old figures have that shield with the line image for defense, yet it now means nothing…. Idk why they couldn’t change it, since ‘indomitable’ was basically Willpower, why in all instances like two team abilities granted that ‘indomitable’ and that special shield thing on some figures granted it; why those can’t just grant this NEW version of Willpower…. Just saying.
Ugh..I really dont wanna buy the Starter set just for New PAC...man i really hate having to do that.It would be EASIER if WK Prints these New PACs or Rule books And Sents them to the Stores to SELL to the players. And they would not be too expensive: 5 euro/bucks a piece or New PAC would maybe be 5 bucks/euro and New Rule book 10 Bucks/euro
Besides from removing tokens from units leadership also adds 1 action to your total. As I understand it Leadership stacks basically. If you're playing a 300 point team and have two leaders you have 5 actions now.
I'm curious how Leap/Climb is presented on the dial now that it's not a Speed Power... Is like a trait, or maybe like the improved movement symbol? I'm gonna miss indomitable, and Colossal Stamina. ^^;
6:52 Incapacitate now can be combined with other attack powers!... so just like leap/climb, useless because its occupying the same slot as the powers its suppose to work with. Even the example in the video suggest you use an external source to make it useful, and you will notice this pattern on other bad powers: on their own they are even more worthless now.
For my part, I look at all the new possibilities this opens up. Sure, some characters lose their edge, but so many characters that rarely made the cut in my teams will now find a nice spot. It makes many more pieces much more interesting, IMHO.
Agree. I also hate the changes to RCE, CCE, pulse wave, and perplex off the top of my head. The change to hindering terrain is also dumb. Knockback damage should have also stayed in the game
I'm still hoping for an errata on Pulse Wave. If they meant only 1 damage, they could have just said, "Damage is locked at 1. Deal unavoidable damage to all hit characters within LOF."
Wow ,they remove the versality in powers ,if you have all new combinable powers now you can mix them ,damn thats so terrible , no situational ,now you do all ,wizkids simplify the game like hell and thats horrible 👎
I see it differently... I find that newer players will be at less of a disadvantage when playing against more experienced players. Your interpretation of Pulsewave is not correct. 1+ means more than 1. Why would they include an "If" unless there is an alternative damage. If only 1 character is targeted means that there are not any possible targets for PW. Single target PW still does full damage.
