You could tell those kids are not allowed to eat on the sofa. This milk /dinner is for show, two black eyes, a bunch of bruising sleeping on a mattress on the floor even though the other brothers have a bed…notice at no point is there any love between the parents and the kids when my kids were young they constantly ran kissed and hugged me. I can’t imagine why is mom and dad hurting this beautiful boy and I hate that he died at the hands of two monsters that were supposed to take care of him and protect him.

Growing up i have been in my friends houses and they had locks on the cupboards and fridge. I recall my parents saying myself and sisters would eat and eat, but once gone no more cookies are brought back to the house until pay day. We had to learn to not over indulge and to share.

When he did manage to escape his room and have access to food, he didn’t grab bread, he ate watermelon and Nutty Buddies and pudding cups, (proving that he only asked for bread because that’s all he was allowed to eat) and drank either water or MILK - not soda, not a milk-shake, not a juice box- water or MILK because he wanted to live. everyone failed him, even the people sent there to check on his well-being. Not long after this, Benjamin was dead from starvation. His father knew he was neglecting and abusing his kid by allowing this absolutely despicable POS step monster to have full control over the safety and wellness of HIS son. He’s not telling Benji to “Shut the F up” in front of the cops, though, right? RIP Benji. You were too good for this awful world.

This milk /dinner is for show, two black eyes, a bunch of bruising sleeping on a mattress on the floor even though the other brothers have a bed…notice at no point is there any love between the parents and the kids when my kids were young they constantly ran kissed and hugged me. The way that boy looked in that body cam video should have been enough for the cops to immediately remove him from that home. He is clearly in dire shape and looks emaciated. Plus the black eyes. I know the difference between naturally skinny and starving skinny. Growing up me and my brother were just naturally very skinny even though we ate a normal amount of food. It just ran in our families genetics to be super thin. But with this boy, he has a vastly different look, and you can tell by how his stomach looks that it’s starvation and not just being a naturally thin person. How could these cops not notice something was seriously wrong?? They allowed the BS and manipulation from the dad and step mom to suck them in. Despicable. watching the body cam footage of him talking to police hearing his voice broke me i’m not usually overly sensitive but the body cam video of him talking and seeing the pictures of his last few months of life really made me feel sick to my stomach how badly he was failed they could of saved him

This is not the first case where child neglect or abuse has been reported, situation was ignored by system that is supposed to protect them, and kid ends up dead. Parents usually end up in jail, but organizations that are in place to protect the kids and be their voice are never even questioned. Shame, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Why have CPS and child services if case after case will be ignored, what's the point? This whole system and everyone who ignored sweet Benjamin should be in jail as well as Benjamin's father. SHAME ON THESE COPS, ON CPS, ON JURORS.
Who could see that child and not gather him up in a blanket and run straight to the nearest ER? He needed a medical assessment and IV nutrition immediately just to get him stabilized. Growing up i have been in my friends houses and they had locks on the cupboards and fridge. I recall my parents saying myself and sisters would eat and eat, but once gone no more cookies are brought back to the house until pay day. We had to learn to not over indulge and to share.
How is it that everyone else in the home is obviously well fed, not bruised up or begging for bread except for Benjamin? When he did manage to escape his room and have access to food, he didn’t grab bread, he ate watermelon and Nutty Buddies and pudding cups, (proving that he only asked for bread because that’s all he was allowed to eat) and drank either water or MILK - not soda, not a milk-shake, not a juice box- water or MILK because he wanted to live. everyone failed him, even the people sent there to check on his well-being. Not long after this, Benjamin was dead from starvation. His father knew he was neglecting and abusing his kid by allowing this absolutely despicable POS step monster to have full control over the safety and wellness of HIS son. He’s not telling Benji to “Shut the F up” in front of the cops, though, right? RIP Benji. You were too good for this awful world.

I rewatched the video of Benjamin interviewed by all these people in uniforms , supposedly having some expertise . Not one amongst them. It was atrocious , the poor little guy would say anything . I hope they were all disciplined or even fired for their incompetence.
