If they listened to their customers then they’d put in an actual Geared transmission. Those CVTs are Worthless. They rob the engine of horsepower and torque
Thanks for a great video on the 2025 Subaru Outback Touring. I am waiting for my local dealer to get some more in, so I have a choice of color, options, engine.
A very fine wagon. The term wagon isn't popular so Subaru refers to it as an suv. But regardless how is called and seen as the Outback is an enormous value in any trim. As you say, Subaru gives the customer a lot. The price is reasonable and affordable, even the Touring. Good and thorough review.
I have a 23 Crosstrek, love it, but next time I’ll probably need bigger. I would only consider an Outback Wilderness that is competitive to a Jeep off road and looks great too, and great towing, or the base model Outback for excellent value. Base model Subarus are much more loaded than most other car companies…
I have this engine in an Outback Onyx. The gas mileage here in the desert southwest is not as advertised by Subaru. I get 19 city and 24 highway (supposed to be 26/32) and I’m a conservative driver. The dealership has looked at this twice now and just states nothing is wrong! For this reason alone, I can’t wait to get rid out it.
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I thought the dealership would be better than this, but they just gaslighted me. I even talked to the national subaru center which took 5 weeks to respond and was told there was nothing they would do. Worst customer service I have encountered.
@@wayoutwest1600damn i'm around me, if u aren't getting anywhere near the advertised mpg, and you've driven over 30k miles they change the spark plugs to start
Nice! I’m a bit worried they might use Toyotas hybrid system like the new CX-50 Hybrid did. If that’s the case it will likely lose its symmetrical AWD.
I have outback XT. I like the car , but some things drives me crazy and frustrates me a lot. The dashboard rattles a lot when driving around the town and it ruins all impressions about the car. I see you overview lots of Subarus and own as well . I bought Subaru based on your blogs. Would you please suggest me how to deal with it ? Thank you
I’m really sorry to hear that. None of ours have had dashboard rattle so idk what to recommend other than try to have it addressed under warranty. Best of luck! 😬
Hate the additional chrome on the Touring! Helped steer us to a Limited (XT!). Great videos, thanks!
Just picked up a 24 Outback Touring XT. Great deal on it.
That’s awesome! Which color did you go with?
Picked up second Outback 25 Wilderness and Subaru does it right because they listen to what the customer wants as they produce quality over quantity.
For sure! Congrats on your 2025!

@@Doc1855just how much horsepower do you want. It’s not a race car!
@@FordEnthusiast413 When we are trying to merge onto the highway and are on the floor, the engine jumps to 6K RPM and is painfully slow in our 19 OBW

Nice! It’s worth the wait to get the right one.
This old Ford guy loves the Outback Touring! Turbo or not. This color combo is awesome!!!!
Outback Touring’s are pretty great! They’re definitely one of the fanciest cars I get to drive, lol.

Appreciate your insight! Thanks for watching.
Love my Subaru Outback.
I’m glad to hear that! I really like mine too.

Dang, that’s really bad. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with that.

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I can't see Subaru giving up on the Symmetrical AWD. But yeah, very interested to see how they do it.
Thank you for the review. Suggestion: please slow down, you’re speaking too fast - I had to rewind a few times. Otherwise, good job, brother.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!!
Need to get rid of front cladding and cvt

I wouldn’t say the hands free locking and unlocking is slow you’re just impatient lol
What wagon? I don’t see a wagon. I see an SUV. Subaru’s website doesn’t even call it a wagon. They call it a Mid Size SUV.
🤷♂️😅
It’s a wagon! A damn fine one!!!
It’s always been known as a wagon.
180 horsepower, that's weak.
Yeah, the base engine should be at least 200hp.
who cares 0-60 !! if you want a race car buy Porsche or Ferrari
