    The waterfront is always a nice walk. That ferry is an ex-Halifax to Dartmouth ferry. The ones they run now are much larger. 😀

    So happy to see this. I’m coming into Toronto on the 4th June by megabus from Kingston and meeting a friend late afternoon. Planning on walking to the waterfront ! 😊

      If you have the time, a quick trip over to the Islands is essential - the view is unrivalled!

    Just finished watching the video. I really enjoyed taking the walk with you! .....LOL As a senior, I enjoyed seeing all the changes to the waterfront. So good that you give a little commentary about the history, sculptures, ferry and taxi info....It gives me a good look at the area before taking my grandchildren for a visit.......but most of all how to get there by TTC. Thanks!

    Great video! I flew in last weekend to catch a Jays game and walked from Billy Bishop to SkyDome. The weather wasn't quite as nice though. I miss living in Toronto and enjoy your videos.

    The Big Grey Slab, you referenced, will perhaps be used for upcoming events, markets, art, displays, etc., perhaps summertime food festivals, chairs, tables... I can't imagine such prime lakeside space, would be wasted.
    Great video.😊

    Johnny you should consider sending that footage of the FlixBus driver bullying the pedestrian who had the the right of way to their company. That driver needs a reminder of the rules of the road within dense cities.

    Hey Johnny, I’ve been following your walks for a while, and I have to say, your videos always capture the essence of the city beautifully. This downtown waterfront walk is particularly special to me, as it's a place that always puts me in a meditative state.
    I’ve just launched my own TH-cam channel with a focus on artistic and relaxing videos, and my first one is inspired by the peaceful vibes this very area gives me. I’d love for you to check it out if you get a chance!
    Keep up the amazing work - it’s always a pleasure to see the city through your lens. And by the way, we’re neighbors! 😄

    What a fool. No helmet in traffic.

  • @richardcaterini4309

    There was a time that one would hurry across an intersection or street so as not to impede traffic. Not now!! Clearly evident in your response is a generation that is obsessed with your "rights" as an individual that the good of the collective has simply been lost. That bus driver was simply telling that girl to hurry up & move across the street! Why don't you understand that ??

    • @shirleyscott8879

      Some people can’t hurry for physical reasons. You are correct, however that some just don’t bother hurrying.

    • @gabygaedecke2411

      Respectfully disagree. Not about the rights of individuals, but a pushback against Toronto's car-centric infrastructure. Everything paved over, traffic is king, we pedestrians are only obstacles. No more.

    • @JohnnyStrides

      WTF are you on about?
      We all wait our turn, I'm not running so some impatient asshole can make their turn. Right of way is right of way, please tell me you don't drive with this attitude 🙄

  • @RedroomStudios

    why do you have a problem with the bus honking at the girl crossing the street? people shouldnt be so entitled to just slowly take their time and holding up traffic like that. she was dragging her ass so slowly. if I was in that situation and saw the bus wanting to turn I would run and get out of the intersection as quick as possible. I actually do that every day now where I am living in Mexico. you must be an entitled liberal based on your opinion here.

    • @gabygaedecke2411

      Because vehicles should not rule the world. Getting behind the wheel does not entitle you to anything! I, too, am courteous to drivers - but honking at a pedestrian is just aggressive and rude. "Entitled liberal"??? Stop hatemongering.

      @@gabygaedecke2411 she was on her phone. watch it back

    • @JohnnyStrides

      This is such a stupid f-ing take. Since when does a vehicle have priority over a person crossing the street when they have the signal?
      She was crossing, with the signal at a reasonable pace for FFS, if that were me I'd have stopped in my tracks and given that bus driver a one finger salute.

  • @j_m_3590

    The bus driver honked at her cuz she was on her phone

    • @JohnnyStrides

      So the bus driver is an asshole? She had the signal and was crossing...

    • @margaretr5701

      Maybe driver has had too many near misses due to ppl on their phones.
      Hopefully a warning, or a reflex.....
      Strange, bcs she had right of way, but it must be hard driving in Toronto.
