Deception Island was our highlight of the day, we were thrilled to be part of the audience to witness the piece live.

Man, what an incredible piece, and performance by Krohnengen! It reminds me of Festival Variations by Claude T Smith, where it seems written to be unplayable, but everyone who tries these pieces comes at them full of passion and excellence, transcending the difficulty into something amazing!

Fantastisk flott spelt Krohnengen! Det var kjekt å høyre på i salen og kjekt å høyre no att her på youtube. Veldig glad for at framføringane frå NM Brass vert lagt ut her. Det er ekstremt høgt nivå på korps i Noreg for tida, og det er viktig å formidla ut i verda!
Eg likte spesielt godt delen med flaske og marimba. Fantastisk solist her på marimba. 😊👏👏👏

The dynamics are incredible..I had to turn the volume down at one point then I thought they’d stopped playing …turns out , they were playing so quiet that Inhad turned it down too much..I’ve never heard a band play pp or ppp that well !

Good version! Unfortunately some wrong notes in the Marimba Solo.
Listen to the music, not just the notes :-)
Gee that’s harsh! Only a very small handful of unintentional wrong notes, when there is so much wonderful work in that solo. Her touch and musicianship is outstanding! It’s one of the better interpretations of that solo I’ve heard. Bravo 👏👏👏
