I've never listened to this piece before but my intention was to get some work done while listening. Needless to say, no work got done and I was hooked immediately.
Listening to this is like listening to Eikanger, Fodens and Howard Snell in late 80s, nobody understood what was going on. This way of musicianship is the new standard. Congrats, and Peter, you look ok also with a stick

I think this, along with Goldberg 2012, is one of the gems of the modern brassband repertoire.
Agreed 100% - two hugely underrated and underplayed test pieces! (Not sure I'd enjoy trying to either though)
