I wonder if he checked anything like the oil before flying??? I see pilot's ignore the fluids all the time. Working as an A&P for many years I cannot even begin to think of all the crap I have witness by pilots.

The pilot is in a crisis and f--king controller is distracting him with fuel reaming questions where it doesn't make one GD bit of difference!

Are we seeing two crash sites from the overhead shots?

How can you climb when you’re losing engine power? That would be recipe for a stall.

The runway behind you, the fuel at the pumps nor the air above you does you any good if the engine quits... Now you're landing.

I’ve been around Denver on the highways and I know it’s busy but it looks like you got I-70 in the vicinity and some other big roads, I don’t know how feasible it is to time it right landing on a highway or road? I know turns at low power you’re going to trade altitude. Does anyone know his altitude at first call? How about glide characteristics if any? I’m not a pilot but seems like he dropped pretty quick

its the same problem each time. some indication of engine problem, and instead of climbing, the guy heads straight for the airport. we need to teach pilots to CLIMB when there is any indication of engine trouble.

    • @David-d4k9k

Did you not hear him say he was losing power quickly? It would be folly to attempt a climb under these circumstances.

Yes and we need to teach Pilots to suddenly just gain control and fly out of trouble and then regain loss of control when they are high enough.

@@David-d4k9k it would be folly to climb under those circumstances? why? or the engine might quit and he'd be in the same situation as always? this guy was making a regular cruise towards the airport. that is not the answer. A VY climb towards the airport for as long as possible is.
