Id give anything to go back to Birmingham 2001 before the twin towers and every other crazy thing that’s happened in this world ever since. Great trip down memory lane with the perfect soundtrack. Thanks 😎
Loved retro Birmingham. I used to go in every Saturday with my dad, such great memories, I would have been about 13 the time this was made, so many cool shops that have come and gone, Birmingham definitely feels a bit more soulless now.
In all honesty this footage doesn't look like it was over 2 decades ago, it could easily pass for just a few years ago. Interestingly I notice interlacing in this video footage. Wonder what camcorder make and model was used by the individual who took this. Progressive Scan was around then but only on high end camcorders I'd have thought. Still, my word @ how time flies.

Moved from Birmingham in 2002 I so wish it was still like this now. This Video Sums up exactly How birmingham used to be. Thanks for Posting.
I'm still here and it hasn't changed all that much, the world in general has though
@@NickSBaileyyes I totally agree with your comment 👍 👏

I was using interlaced cameras as late as 2011... in university! Wild how slowly some people changed over.
Demographics have changed a lot in just 19 years.
