- Lucky enough to race this United Airlines Boeing 737 to the runway during KSFO (San Francisco International Airport) simultaneous parallel approach operations to Runway 28 Left and 28 Right on a windy summer afternoon. Who won? I can’t tell. Maybe you can! Checkout the amazing shot over the threshold at 1:25.

The fact that the 2 planes are moving almost at the same speed makes it perfect.
Yeah crazy how these planes came from hundreds or even thousands of miles away from each other… and our ATC system somehow had them touchdown at the same time.
Awesome catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
For sure - I watch 3-Minutes and Weekly Dose all the time!
not a tie- your plane landed after- but still incredible!
"And just remember, in case we both have to execute a go around, you turn right and I'll turn left!!" 🤯🤯🤯
Fantastic capture! May I feature this parallel landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
Absolutely - I watch your channel all the time!
Thats amazing it has happened to me only once tho but it never fails to impress.
Ive flown into sfo dozens of times and very rarely ever land on 28R…great video
That's amazing. May I feature this in a video of mine? You will be credited of course in the description and video!
Great get!! I woder how often that happens.
Classic united airlines!
The planes didn’t touchdown at the same time the other touchdown before the plane you were in. You could tell because the engine gets quieter right before touchdown because they retart to to idle
Great camera work...nice steady hands!
nice phone with good stabilisation you eman
This is great!👍
Not a tie your plane landed after the other plane landed but its beautiful to see a thing like this
What's the flight information? Where is your plane originated from?
TRAFFIC! 9 O CLOCK.
Literally a mirror image it’s so accurate
Awesome capture! Can I feature it? Credited on screen and with a link back!!!
Nice camera work, that was smooth af!
Hey!
May I have your permission to feature this clip in a compilation?
Linked and credited.
Thanks!
Flashback Asiana flight 214…
nice catch! Can i use it as part of my video for a series im doing? I will link it back to this video and you will be credited in the video.❤
That was so cool
how far apart are those airplanes
They are about 530 feet apart, that's the distance between the centerlines of the runways.
I've flown in and out of San Francisco a few times, and the only time it ever bothered me was the first time. It was at night and as we started our descent you could see the lights of the San Jose area, then the lights disappear below you, but the lights of the east bay area like Hayward are now straight out the window and you realize you're just above the bay.
Awesome
Which airport is it?
It's SFO (San Francisco). It's a routine operation weather/wind permitting.
United airlines, Boeing 737 touchown 1st, before your plane.
The United plane wheels touched down first.
You would never fail to mention if a clip is artificially produced instead of real filmed content? You would not do that, would you?
As one of the pilots who routinely flies the visual to 28L or 28R in SFO, I can say this is real and happens all the time. As a former military pilot, I actually try to make it a 'formation landing' for fun!
@@charliealpha11f3b2yeah a SOIA approach is definitely real at SFO all the time, but I will say, did kinda seem “sim”y with the camera that perfectly honed in on the other plane and clear; idk I’m self conflicted if it was real or not, but yeah - definitely happens exactly like this in real life, just don’t know how someone filmed it so dang steady
Very cool! He touched down just a bit before you 😊 - but perfect positions for a perfect recording. I have a similar one where the other plane was slightly ahead - but I got it as it touched down! th-cam.com/video/4DMS3oRUJ2g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KKzHVnnHxvYuJTEy
Good job FSX 🤣🤣🤣
looks like UA won to me...just barely. your engines retard to idle right after their touchdown.
