Always loved listening to Otis. When my Queen and I got married 18 + yrs ago, I asked her to let me pick our dance song. This was the one. Love our oldies but goodies.
Years will go by and his songs will continue to beat. Unfortunately no singer’s this era can compare to the passion , delicacy, meaning put into the lyrics. Songs back in days had meaning , inspiration and respect ❤❤❤
Tell me about it I grew up with this music and great memories of it living in Barbados and I cherish those times because I was sent they live there as child and now I'm back in the UK I will play the oldies God bless these Legends of all time
I grew up listening to Otis in the 60's, can still remember the day the news came in that he had died. So thankful that is music still lives on, he is absolutely one of the greatest of all time.
I saw Otis Redding at Van’s Ballroom in Houston What energy even on his slowest song. He is the reason I sing with so much passion and feeling this is the closest thing to heaven.
No words to truly describe how much this song means to me and to countless others, I'm sure. I wasn't born when this classic was released but it speaks so masterfully on how it feels to really be in love. Today's music focuses so much on the physical act of sex that it has completely lost touch with the anticipation, intimacy, and romance.
You wouldnt be human if while listening Theses Arms of Mines, you did not get goose bumps and Chills from the Magnifiscent Voice Tone of the Late Otis Redding .
I agree with what you said. I was born in 71 but I grew up on the 50,s 60,s & 70's and there hasn't been that many artists that write music like then. Idk what happened but it's just not the same. I love this old stuff! 👊🏻❤️
"Oh my." "Otis" Otis." you just woke up my memories." They've been asleep for so long."♔Otis the king of soul music. "No one can Never ever take your place."

Otis Redding...takes me back...Makes me want to be in love again....The wonders of love, the enchantment one feels; Mesmerizing in the dreamy anticipation of seeing that special guy...who lifts you to the stars & beyond....What a whirlwind ...never to end...
When my "Baby" and I danced to this song back in the day--people would tell us Hey, you can stop dancing now. The record is finished. It was "THE" love song during those years. I really miss the oldies but goodies.
I don't know how this whole business started of you thinking that I had been untrue will it be thinking with me is going to break away from you who sings that song who sings that song
I sang this with my uncle once. We'd never jammed together. My father was a musician and named me after this legend. My uncle was shocked how much I sounded like Otis. I saw his smile as soon as I sang. Such a special moment. He joined my father in heaven not long after that but I was so blessed to have had that moment with him. Never got to sing with my father because he passed before I could but that moment with his brother (my uncle) made up for it big time.
You grew up Anisa knowing good music from bad music it's beautiful to see someone as young as you remembering real music. And remembering singers and talent even before i was born. This great man died before me and you ever got the chance to see him sing live
I’m 63 and am visiting Hitsville Detroit (from the UK) in May with my wife and friends! We grew up on this music and we have lived this music. There is no better KTF
The one and only ottis Redding, what a voice , the best soul singer ,ever to grace this planet , tragically he died in a plane crash , with his band members , there's no one today , who will ever match him . He always gave 100 per cent, RIP my friend,💖🎶🎶🎶🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🏴
In two hours, it will be my birthday. Just chilling. Reminiscing and listening to the oldie but goody's. Sunday, my birthday, it will be church songs all day.
These songs are so great and remind me of back then when this world was a much better place. It sure sucks getting old. I was disc-jockey playing this song over the radio.
RIP Otis your music is still alive & still so beautiful, thank you for all the great music you left us with. So sorry you had to lave us way , way to soon. Love you forever, you can not be replaced Mr. Otis 5-8-21
Wow, just wow! My parents owned a small lounge when I was a kid that had a jukebox. This was one of their favorite songs to play on the jukebox and now it's one of my favorites. Otis was from Macon, Georgia, just 30 minutes from where I grew up.
Classic! A person could really feel this song through Otis Redding, love and a lot of emotions, so great. Perfect description of true love, of man a woman. Rare quality expressed through this artist.

Imagine being 21 and dropping this as your first single - just how awesome was Otis?
Imagine how much music Buddy Holly would have put out . He died at 22. You reminded me of that, sooo young. And Otis died way too young.
