Every time I hear this song I am transported back in time. I was around 15 years old with two other kids, my best friend and a sweet girl in the neighborhood. We were goofing off on the banks of the Mississippi River in south Louisiana. It was a warm day, perfectly comfortable. A sudden storm came up, we didn't even try to run home, we just got under a tin roof of an old tree house some other kids had built in the woods. The rain beating on the metal, the water coming down in sheets, the wind, the thunder, the trees swaying. Then it was over, everything was clean and fresh, we were a little wet, but dried out quickly. I feel like, yes, I have seen the rain.
Funny thing, It reminds me of swimming in the Lee River with my best friend and girl .when we were 15 and I'm from Ireland. Wet country , have a nice day
This song reminds me of my grandpa, who passed away last month sadly. He would always play this song and we both really liked it, he was almost like a second father to me. I would go to work with him and help him out and i’ve made amazing memories with him, I miss him everyday ❤🕊️
In 1970, my wife and I listened to this song a lot. Creedence was our favorite band back in those days. We would ride around listening to them in my 68 Chevelle on my eight track tape player. I had all their tapes and still do. That was a different time and actually a different world. We married in October of that year and we have been married ever since. I feel for the young people of today, knowing they will never experience the times we had back then. Finding the love of your life is a once in a lifetime thing. Unfortunately some people never have the opportunity. And to my wife I say that I will always love you ❤
Was told by an elderly next door neighbor when I was a little boy , that when this happened (rain coming down on a sunny day)that if you put a brick on the ground and put your ear to it ,that the devil was beating his wife and you could hear her screaming .

We did not have the things we have today, but we had such good things. we had each other. I pray to God we will be together again one day listening to the rain.

It reminds me of my Marine days and my buddies. Those were great times. I enlisted after high school and was proud to serve then and it’s been over 50 years. Loved it then and still love my country as much as ever. Can’t say much for the current administration and their leadership. There is only one America and there are more Americans than what you might see on the news. The majority of Americans want it back like it was when we grew up in the 50s snd60s.
So many things in the world are NOT the same as in the 50s/60s, and the dictatorial countries are more aggressive. US Teenagers are more aggressive and somehow feel justified shooting kids maybe 10 years younger than them- teenage terrorists that somehow go unchecked mentally- but are allowed to possess a firearm- and not just any firearm. It’s a sad sick world .. and one US President can’t solve it all- not without help. We don’t seem so United- anymore- do we. Wish parents had more control over their kids- like they did in the 50s and 60s.

I really miss CCR, it was a group of my youth, so happy that you are playing some of their songs.
What a unique sound CCR had. Their vocalist had a very unique voice for certain. He made CCR.
