4TH KOHIMA SUPER CUP KICK STARTS AT IG STADIUM, KOHIMA

The 4th Kohima Super Cup 2022 kick started on May 16 at IG Stadium, Kohima. A total of 17 clubs are participating at the tournament. In the opening match, New Market Football Club defeated Crimsoune Club by 10 goals. Nyithong Magh of New Market FC was the first hat-trick scorer of the tournament. Addressing the players in the inaugural programme, Special guest Kevithuto Sophie (IPS), Sr. Superintendent of police, Kohima said that Nagas are ardent football lovers but take it as a seasonal sport and it is high time to change that attitude and get engaged seriously and upgrade the standard of players. The first round of the tournament will be a knock out round while in the quarter finals the match will be a league round and the final match will be played on May 31
