I was marking them at all different depths on my finder but the deep diving rapala was the most productive. Probably in the 15 to 20 ft depth. Depending on how much the water has warmed since ice out I would probably start with shallow lures and then go deeper if you aren't getting any action.

@@benk9105 Ok, thanks. We catch them in late August and early September, but we have to run crankbaits that get 30 ft deep.
