You should do video of Dolph Lundgren. He changed physique quite a lot between movies. Sometimes looking like a huge bodybuilder, sometimes looking like a lean athlete. He usually preferred being slimmer for better stamina and quickness when training martial arts, then gain weight temporarily for the movies if needed to look bulky.
Great idea. I literally just watched a video on Dolph and was wondering what he did for He-Man and Rocky. He had more of a bodybuilder type bod in He-Man.
I was always impressed with how larger than life rocky looked while also being believably functional in the way he moved and trained. Truly one of a kind
Stallone's autobiography is mostly focused on his workouts for the big movies. It reads like: When I decided to make First Blood, Rambo was a new character who had been through a lot, so I wanted him to have a really unique body. So I began pushing myself hard in the gym, two workouts a day, 20 cups of espresso, and only one meal a day with a little bit of protein and veggies in the morning. Then it was time for Rocky III, and I wanted Rocky to have a body like never before. So I decided to REALLY push myself hard, lifting weights, running, and sparring for eight rounds a day. I also drank 25 cups of espresso a day and ate nothing but fish and some greens. Up next was Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo had been in prison breaking rocks for years, so he needed a physique to match. So I began training REALLY REALLY hard, lifting weights, running, drinking 30 cups of espresso a day and I ate nothing but one piece of burnt toast and a can of tuna (low-sodium!) per day. Rocky IV was my next film, and.....
Sorry but you're slightly wrong about the torn peck, it wasn't due to the amount he was training. It was due to a bench press accident with Franco columbo but was during filming of rocky 2, that's why they wrote into the script that he had to fight like a right handed fighter
Stallone was on the juice period. I hope he mentioned that in his"program". He looked gaunt and stick thin at the start of Rocky 3 his face was all sunken in and he was literally a middleweight not a Heavyweight fictional character in a movie. Still a good movie regardless.
He is pretty open about using HGH, but I don't think I have seen him talking about anything else. Not that it rules anything out, it would just be weird if you thought HGH was completely cool but weren't OK talking about other things in your stack.
No way you could keep up that training regime without juicing. Two a days, six days a week of high-intensity training, plus sparring. Still props for the willingness to put his body through all that.
@Pop-Actor (RICK) just don’t see how you can keep this up natural. I’m 4-5 times a week and when I punish my body it takes a day or two to recover. Minor tweaks here and there. Just more likely to get injured with minimum gains. Unless of course you’re a professional body builder and know exactly what you’re doing.
I feel like nobody is talking about the difference in physique between Rocky 2 and Rocky 3. Pretty clear difference 🔥💪🏼 And probably a slight difference between 3 and 4 (Looks about 10 lbs bigger)
I read Stallone's book _Sly_ _Moves_ a long time ago. He is open about using HGH in the book at the current time he wrote it, extolls its benefits, and laments the lack of availability to the common man who is getting older. I don't recall if he specified when he started using it, but he does say other than that he was natural. Regardless, he had a supernatural work ethic. During the post Rocky II / Rambo period all the way to Rocky IV, he was spending most of his time training, and as you noted, it was way too much. In the book he acknowledges that he was probably actually hindering himself, but that was just kind of what they thought worked at the time. His mom actually owned a gym so he had been lifting since he was a kid, longer than most people assume. Ultimately, I think if you've got the discipline to maintain essentially a starvation diet and work like he did over the course of several years, you can certainly _reach_ a physique like Rocky III, but not keep at that peak for long. The book is actually quite good if you are interested in the details of how Stallone's career progressed and how he was training at any given point, and he has a solid long - term training and diet plan largely geared toward men who are getting older, which is based on his lessons learned over his career, so it isn't an insane grind like what he used to do. It also has some nice stuff like how to train for aesthetics that work well with a body that is getting a bit less compact with age. I recall the diet plan still being pretty hard for me to pull off, even though it was a far cry better than oatmeal and rice flour cookies and tuna. Overall, it has sort of provided a basis for my training for about 15 years, and if you are a Stallone fan and can find it cheap (I don't think it is in print anymore), it is worth a read. He even almost had me sold on the HGH, but not too long after reading the book I saw Rocky Balboa and the first new Rambo movie, and his massive head and giant mitts made me decide to hold off on that maybe until I am in nearing my 70s.
Clenbuterol or ephedra perhaps - look at the skin flush in some of the shots from the period. That said, I would be surprised if Franco had given him some..."advice".....

Columbo was one of the most impressive men in the world and Columbo looked great hitting the bag too Columbo could throw some powerful punches. Columbo was on performance enhancing drugs so he probably gave Stallone the best advice out there on everything from what workouts to do, what to and not to eat, and what drugs to take to stay at an optimum physical peak
Stallone is lucky to be alive after what he put himself through. His diet with this level of workout was insanity. He must have a heart made of steel to be able to put himself through that and not be facing cardiac or other health problems. According the Franco Stallone was not on steroids when he trained him, but its pretty well known that he takes hgh.

Dianabol and Deca. But he was still overtraining and eating very little...that's why he didn't get very big. Sly is only 5'6 and was 165 for Rocky. He's not 5'9 like Google says. He's short.
@@TheMrFrank101 It was actually shot in '81, prep on the movie began immediately after '79's Rocky II. Stallone spent 1980 reducing his body fat in preparation of the Rocky III. Shooting locations in Ca., etc. document the filming at those locations in 1981.
Stallone tore his pec on a single rep of 225 lb on the benchpress. That was originally reported in Muscle & Fitness many years ago. Naturally, the story grew legs.
I slightly disagree, in Rocky 3, Sky’s body was in the middle of the transformation in the first Clubber Lang fight, but in the 2nd fight, the transformation was complete.

That was Way before hgh hit the scene, more likely deca, anavar, winstrol and a bit of test cyp, and then most definitely the tuna, oats, coffee and a Shit Ton of water. GREAT VIDEO 4 MOTIVATION 🎯💯🔥
Which is why I always laughed when I watched the movie and the announcer said he weighed in at 202 lbs. Even as a teen when this movie came out, I was like "yeah, right!" At 163, he was barely a Middleweight, not a heavyweight boxer!
I don't think he juiced up. He didn't have that type of physique in Rocky 3. He was built, but super lean. He also included I think 1 egg and burn toast and a ton of ESPRESSO, which He made on a machine given to him by his friend John Travolta.
Well, sly is clearly on tons of gear now. Why wouldn't you take a little something at the beginning of your career? Most people who could potentially make hundreds of millions would. Nothing wrong with that either. He has the money to get the best docs and juice for blood work.

@@ParisDemers yeah.. I knew he talked about it in 07.. I just kinda figured he was probably using it back then.. Maybe?? Idk..
N that's only one punch u can do it if u can make your self standing without hurting your self that ends ones courer
To everyone who’s watching this video, training like rocky will not make you look like him at all. The argument “if it worked for him it should work for me” doesn’t have any validation. Don’t train like him if you wanna look like him.
I will be heavyweight champion of the world 🏆 🥇 🏅
Sounds like Stallone clearly didn’t know how to train properly, safely.
Ya I feel like he just thought more was always better!
Félicitations de France
Can you Make Rocky I pls?
Yes!!!
@@ParisDemers OH WOWWW THX!!!

Bro the views is crazy
Right?? It blew up!
Stallone was offered $1 million in 1975 dollars to sell the script and let Ryan O'Neal or James Caan to be cast.
Wrong. Why did you type it twice?
That was Way before hgh hit the scene, more likely deca, anavar, winstrol and a bit of test cyp, and then most definitely the tuna, oats, coffee and a Shit Ton of water.
GREAT VIDEO 4 MOTIVATION 🎯💯🔥
Great point!! Thanks for the nice and well thought out comment :)
That's an Anavar body if ever I saw one.
Gh been around forever. Stfu
Rocky’s journey = Goku’s journey

We have lives and know we are for the Kamasutra you know....
You know he probably did more than just lift weights.
He said he was only 163 for Rocky III?
Thats what I heard too!
Which is why I always laughed when I watched the movie and the announcer said he weighed in at 202 lbs. Even as a teen when this movie came out, I was like "yeah, right!" At 163, he was barely a Middleweight, not a heavyweight boxer!
Train like Rocky: TRT, Anavar, Dbol
Not totaly natural but superb results.
Agreed!
I don't think he juiced up. He didn't have that type of physique in Rocky 3. He was built, but super lean. He also included I think 1 egg and burn toast and a ton of ESPRESSO, which He made on a machine given to him by his friend John Travolta.

Tuna every day would cause mercury poisoning.
Ya he must not have been doing it for that long!
if you do a handstand the blood does go to your brain so what do you mean ?
Are These Workouts Give Results?

2.9% body fat? You die if you go below 3 many actors and bodybuilders say they go lower than 3 but they actually don't
Well, sly is clearly on tons of gear now. Why wouldn't you take a little something at the beginning of your career? Most people who could potentially make hundreds of millions would. Nothing wrong with that either. He has the money to get the best docs and juice for blood work.
Ya I'm not against celebrities going it. I think people should just be made aware!
@@ParisDemers totally agree. Wish guys like the rock would just be transparent. Younger version of me might actually believe that it's possible to get MORE jacked and shredded after age 50.
I trained him up 🤷🏽♂️
Good job Coach!
I love Stallone he is an animal still when he trains yeah he was juicing and still might be but who isn't in Hollywood
Ya I don't think it takes away from anything! But it's good to point out!
2.9 body fat LMFAO yeah ok!!! He was at 10 percent at best. Look at Zac Efron at 5%. Yeah I know different bodies look different at different body fats percentages but there is NO WAY he was 2.9%.
Ya I'm with you! Sylvester said he was at 2.9 but he was for sure higher than that! I wanted to talk about it in the video but it was already getting pretty long! Good comment 💪
Zac was not 5% 😆🤣😆🤣
Sly has admitted to taking steroids.
In 2007 right?
@@ParisDemers I remember him even being busted with HGH in Australia where it is banned.
You lying he said he used steroids. and he still could not beat Apollo
What am I lying about? Did you watch the video?
