For a grading company that specializes in quality, they sure did drop the ball on the casing aspect...
Beckett Case Grading
1. Lint in casing - 9
2. Black fuzz ball in casing - 8.5
3. Cracked casing - 6.5

You should definitely send those poor quality cases back to BGS, that’s unacceptable. They need to be challenged so they can improve their quality assurance !!

Lol they have absolutely no shortage of submissions right challenging them does nothing. Im what other option do you have? Go to GCG who's name is about as good as raw pricing or wait 6 months with PSA? to get the card reslabbed costs 10$.
So 3 out of 6 cases got flaws? This right here is putting me off, to get mine graded at Beckett, if they cant even get their own cases right.
@@danielschmidt787 Its not common. Its a bad batch. A lot of time when quality control is off its in bunches. Like getting a booster box full of completely off centered cards. I use Beckett quite a bit and even more so now that PSA takes over 5 months for grading and you can get Beckett returns for $30 a card and I haven't had a single problem with any of the slabs.
Bummer on the quality control from bgs... just slightly ironic.
Watching this has made me fully aware of the fact not one of my cards would be graded a 10 in anything 😂

Why is beckets quality so bad.
@@greggsmith5942 they aren’t, if you’ve watched a few grading videos you’ve probably noticed that there usually has never been this many quality issues. It’s more so probably a bad factory batch because they are known for their quality.

its cus beckett built different
pack fresh doesn't mean anything. A terribly made card can go into those packs. Pack fresh is not what you need to look for. It's print quality, which is not guaranteed.
I put the Charizards in a percentage when adding up all grades. (All are shown in order in the video.)
1st Chairzard V ETB Champion's Path: 93.75=9
2nd Charizard V ETB Champion's Path: 95=9.5
Charizard Shiny V Champion's Path: 96.25= 9.5
3rd Charizard V ETB Champion's Path: 93.75=9
Charizard VMAX Darkness Ablaze: 96.25=9.5
Shiny Charizard GX Hidden Fates: 95=9

Another great video! I’m in the process of preparing to grade some cards. I have a bunch of vintage cards (base sets/shadowless, jungle, fossil, etc) and a bunch of newer pack fresh ones (basically same ones in this video and a rainbow rare Charizard). I know this question comes up all the time, but is there a specific service I should go with? Beckett for the pack fresh new ones and PSA for the vintage, for example? Or does it not really matter? Any insight into your choice here would be awesome!

Love the video man! I was rooting for a 10 there, but still a good line up though! I know that the darkness ablaze zards raised up a bit in PSA 10 from about $400 to around $550ish.

Love watching your channel it has taught me alot. I am new to Poke`mon collecting and I am really enjoying it. I just have a question, how much does it cost to send in cards to get graded? I live in Canada so I know shipping might be more. But lets say If I were to send in the same amount of cards that you sent in, roughly what would I be looking at? PSA or becket. Would love to get some graded but just worried it might cost an arm and a leg lol as I have a hard enough time just paying to get some cards. Love the game and the art work and love your channel. idk if I'd complain to beckett, but definitely mention this and even attach pictures next time you send in cards, telling them about this incident. I'm sure they're SUPER busy with the recent explosion of collectible cards so idk if it would work in your favor to "complain" per say, but maybe as an "apology" they'd rush your next order on the house or something :) Regardless - congrats on all your success lately. it's well deserved, keep on the great content!

need a rectangle of card, with a smaller square cut out of the top left corner, then you could pop it on top of the case, slowly slide it and reveal each of the sub grades 1 at a time!

Poke rev do you see making a video about how/what you fill out on psa or Beckett when you want you grade your cards? I just started collecting again and I never got any cards grade when I was 11 but now being 28 I know I need to graded these cards and their sites aren’t the easiest to navigate? Thanks and love the videos and live streams just bought for the first time
Great video @PokeRev would love to see more of these types of videos. Great analysis. Beckett really messed these up for you. I think a video reflecting on graded cards and whether they actually have a true representive grade would be good. Just because it has the grade 9 or 9.5 doesn't mean its actually that quality of grade. Have Beckett been harsh because they are Charizards?? Does the time of card have an effect on what the grade could be? These are all questions and thoughts that would be good to ask! Keep up the great work my friend. 🥊🥊

I have 6 Charizard Vmax, 2 Charizard Shiny V, 12 of the CP ETB promo and a Hidden Fates Charizard GX going off to PSA this month. This has been hugely useful.

Question for you brother. My family just found complete 1st edition sets of base set, jungle, fossil, team rocket, and neo genesis. Everything looks to be in good shape. Once we get these cards graded, what is the best way to sell them? Is it eBay or some auction site? Should we sell them as a complete set or individually? We also found an unopened booster box of 1st edition team Rocket. I would love your advice on the best way to go about selling

I have both psa and BGS slabs that have stuff in them. I wish they would do a quick clean or check before encapsulating the cards 😑

I've had GMA Grading re-slab one of my cards for getting a date wrong on the label, free from charge.
Never understood the bgs thing 🤣 it’s like that teacher who brags about “only 3 people have ever gotten an A in this class” hahaha
This month alone I pulled the rainbow rare charizard gx from burning shadows from a single booster pack out of a zacian and zamazenta lunchbox tin, the shiny zard GX from hidden fates and just yesterday I pulled the shiny zard from champions path! And last month I pulled the holo reverse zard from xy and the rainbow zard from champions! My luck has been insane 🔥🍀🔥
Need to add a rainbow rare vmax zard to this collection. 👽👍

Bgs is usually less harsh so getting a 10 is easier

What is your opinion on CGC grading cards? They are the standard for comic books.
Second promo out had 3 visible white specks on the back and still got a bgs 9.5....

Yo rev try sending that HF ZARD back, i think the grade should 9.5 on that zard. Sub grades got 2-10s 1-9.5 1-8.5 if you average that grades it will com up to a 9.5.

I think any card with a 8.5 sub grade or lower can’t get a 9.5
The maximum grade by Beckett is the weakest +0.5. If you have 10/10/10 and an 8.0 you will receive an 8.5.
Most of my Champions Path Promos came with some damage, I’m only sending in 3 out of 14 that I got.

If these cards which are fresh from pack to protector don't get 10s, than my 1st edition Hitmonchan base set that I played with is definitely a solid PSA grade 0.2

A shame, I was really considering sending my stuff into BGS, but that's horrible quality control on those cases. I've never had that kind of trouble with PSA (yet, lol)

I have a lot of 1st edition/shadowless Pokémon cards. A lot are in NM/M condition. I’m not sure if it’s worth to get graded solely because by the time I get the cards back the market will be flooded. Thoughts?

On that ETB Charizard, how does the average of a 9, 9, 10, & 10 equal a 9? Wouldnt that be 9.5?
I’m not entirely sure but maybe some of the categories are weighted more than others such as centering being the heaviest.

I'm saving all mine for a few more years before I send them in. Give them some time to get caught up there and maybe give my cards some more value.

I've pulled a total of 3 Charizard's in my lifetime. 2 from 25th celebrations in the past 8 days and 1 shiny Charizard from shining fates ETB. I traded my first Charizard and the shining fates 1 for a pair of Jordan 3 black cements and the second Charizard from celebrations I sold for $85 then I traded a bunch of random ex,gx,v, and Vmax cards cards including a Celebi alt art from fusion strike for $95 total then I bought a side loading binder and I have my dream cards in there. like MEW and Mewtwo cards. plus sum older art cards from celebrations. Pokémon cards have been absolutely amazing to me in the past ;like 4 months. I love Mew and Mewtwo. I have the secret rare shiny Mew card from celebrations. all I need now is a Japanese MEW and Mewtwo tag team card to make me feel complete. i've pulled all English cards in the past but the Mew and Mewtwo tag team cards are my favorite and I love how they look in japanese. if you don't believe me I can DM proof. I'm just super happy for my luck.
