  • Using shock and surprise can be an extremely powerful way of opening the mind for a hypnotic induction.
In this video I'll give some examples of shock inductions, including an instance when I agreed when a client told me their life 'wasn't worth living' and why this was so effective.

Reminds me of the ancient story of the paralyzed king. None of his doctors could cure him. They tried every doctor in the land, but one, who had refused the order & was quickly dragged unwillingly to the palace anyhow. There he said, "ok, since I'm here now, I'll take a look, I've got better things to do". He asked to see the king alone in his chambers privately & the king obliged him. When the guards were sent out, the doctor took out a large knife he had hiding & charged the king, shouting "how dare you interrupt my lab work & drag me here, you useless tyrant".
The paralyzed king in total shock & fear jumps out of his chair & runs for the door. The doctor takes out a prepared rope & climes down the window...

Taking these kinds of intuitive risks is also a type of trance, LOL.
