- Woody talks with legendary lead guitarist Kirk Hammett of Metallica just hours before christening the new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
They talk about Metallica's live-debuted single "Hardwired" off of their upcoming "Hardwired ... to Self Destruct" LP as well as Metallica's path to progress and innovate heavy metal music.
He's a good guy, you can't listen to him without wanting to be his friend. It takes balls to be between Lars and Hetfield egos for 35+ years...
Out of all the members he's the most likeable.
Rafael Bergamin James seems alright, Lars is annoying and everyone fuxking hates him.
Balls or hundreds of millions of $$. You can't deny he is a wonderful human being but his ability has always been second rate, especially live.
Jason Barker Kirk and Rob are honestly the nicest.

it looks kirk's voice didn't even change, Lars voice didn't change too (maybe a little lower idk) But James voice is really deep now but he always had a deep voice

Yeah it's definitely wise to just not read too much of the hateful comments on the internet. That hate is no matter where you go, it's directed at everything, no matter what you do. And at Kirk's age and maturity, how humbled he is by life, how honest he is about weaknesses and so on. Less mature haters are not going to understand that yet, because they haven't gotten there yet. It's why it's so difficult to give advice to someone younger sometimes, because they just have to get to that point themselves before they understand what you're trying to say and how it is you're trying to help. But your words might mean something to them later. Having said that, of course constructive criticism is important, but at some point when doing your own art, you also have to do your own thing and shut that off too, it's your vision at the end of the day :). Kirk is so lovable, so wise, I love his attitude. And it's cool that he decided to improvise his lead playing on the new album, it's good to mix it up and as he said. It was cool that because he winged it, it made him sound different and fresh, he couldn't recognize his own playing sometimes so I think that's really cool! I'm loving the new album!

I noticed it during his interview a couple years ago at the guitar center, he seemed somewhat off. I recall him slightly stuttering and seeming a bit nervous in the past, but It does seem to be getting worse.
