Totally agree on the makeup😢 I have so much makeup that has expired. Also, I'd love that storytime on the dermatologist! I've never been to one, so I'm just curious about your experience.
Yes to the dermatologist story time. You did mention this rude dermatologist in one of your videos. I remember, I made a comment, I said "Your skin doctor needs a head/mind doctor".
DIY Multi-surface Cleaner: Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol, white vinegar & water in a spray bottle plus a few drops of blue Dawn. This works better than any commercial concoction!
Hi Kyra, I also take smoking personal. My dad died at at a very early age from smoking it was heartbreaking for me, you are so lucky to still have your mom, my dad continued to smoke even after being diagnosed, after my mom also died at a very early age due to pancreatic cancer, so when she passed he just died inside without her, so I can truly relate! The one thing that I let go to save money was amazon prime I was paying 15$ a month for free shipping, and there were many months that I never used it. Also that prevents me from impulse buying. Makes me think twice. I absolutely love your videos. You are lovely inside and out!
Same story with me I went to casino with friends and my $20 gone not even 5 mins I was so upset and I said to myself I will never go back in this place
Kyra, I would love a part 2 please❤ loved this one! I don’t purchase face serums, night creams, and all that excessive skin care anymore. I can’t be bothered. Face soap, eye cream and sunscreen is all I need!
There's absolutely no reason to pay for video content. TH-cam is free and there are enough free movie apps to provide a lifetime of free movie & tv show viewing.
Keep up the great work with your channel girl :) Living simply has benefited me in so many ways especially with my mental health. Thank you for the great content
When it comes to skin care less is more! Facewash, moisturizer and sunscreen is all you need. If you like retinol or other types of serums but not necessary most of those ingredients are already in your face wash and moisturizers.
30 over years ago, I was about 10. My country has a non smoking campaign in our school where they gave out non smoking stickers. I was so convinced it is bad. I made stuff and pasted them all over my house, encouraging my dad to quit smoking since they were damaging for the lungs and it was breaking his wallet. We were poor, and it took 2 years for him to finally decide to quit since my stint. He finally manage to quit his 30 year old smoking habit in about 5 years.
I make my coffee from home every day! I also bring my own lunch to work which saves me so much mula instead of ordering take out. The gym membership; totally relate to you on this! My husband had the membership and he brings me as a guest! I didn’t use my own membership and didn’t want to waste gas/get ready/not motivated/would rather workout at home. So it just works for me to go with my husband every now and then 😊
My brother throws away $1000/month at the liquor store getting wasted daily on malt liquor and smoking (inhaling) cigars. I guess he's fulfilling his personal mission to be a sorry waste case, smh.
I dont understand how people do their nails every 2 weeks. I get them done at a salon for acrylics, gel extensions or a polygel manicure about 2-3 times a YEAR. You know, if you want sculpted claws. In between appointments, I just use the polishes i already have on my naturally shorter nails 😂.
Alcohol has caused so much heartache for so many people that I absolutely detest the very existence of the substance. I understand that people will no doubt continue to drink alcohol because there is the “no care” factor. People don’t care what it does to themselves or anyone else. It is indeed expensive but the bigger problem is what it does to society. It hurts everyone. Forgive the rant please. I know your topic is about things that are a waste of money. I guess I was just triggered when you mentioned alcohol.
Pls pls talk more in depth about how to stop buying fast food and take out food from restaurants. I’ve learned a lot from you and you’ve helped me adopt a more minimalist lifestyle, but for some reason I can’t limit how much fast food / take out I get.
I don't pay for streaming apps ( we only use the free ones) and the only subscription we pay for is Sirius XM radio for my truck because we can't get our phones to hook up to the Bluetooth with my truck and where we live a lot of radio stations don't come in good or works in some areas but not others. But I would love to do away with that subscription because it wasn't bad the first year we were paying for it because we got a good deal on it for under $10 a month and now it is around $24 a month.
I feel you on that fear of big knives. Can't even watch someone using one. It might sound ridiculous to some, but I got lowkey traumatized by a few mishaps with knives or sharp utensils, like those gadgets you can use to cut bread or shredding veggies. I do everything with absolute patience with a knive I feel comfortable with, no matter how much longer it takes lol. I don't care if the cucumber is not thin enough... 💀
Just like yours, my skin gets upset so easily and frequently. The more produits I try, the worst it gets… Then I get back to Spectro gel cleanser and basic unscented moisturizing cream. So boring, but nothing else is working, even pricey organic clean cosmetics don’t. Fragrance free only is helping. I got really tired wasting so much money for these.
You caught me off guard by telling that you eat Jackfruits. I thought it's only common in here . ( Asia ). Anyway great vid ❤. Love watching your vdos. so informative and useful af. I'm so happy to see someone who has exact same opinions and thoughts like me.
You get cut up fruit and veg when you are travelling and literally don’t have any utensils. Or when you have a little kid and you’re out and about and want to give them a healthy snack. I’ve never heard anyone buying pre-cut veg or fruit out of fear 😅
Kyra just wondering, do you travel? Coz ive seen some of the minimalist content creator did travel to other country such as europe, asia etc. But in terms of saving, i think that kinda waste the money. What’s your opinion?
I don't see traveling as a waste of money at all. In fact, I think constantly buying material things is more of a waste. Traveling helps open your mind to new cultures and keeps you grounded and connected to the world. There are also ways to save money while traveling, though everyone's situation is different. While I don’t believe in spending your entire savings on a trip, I do think with good planning, you can enjoy traveling wisely because at the end of the day all we truly remember when we get older is not the things we purchased in the past but where we visited and the memories we made while exploring life.
Getting back on my minimalism. Glad to see your videos pop up in my feed again
Happy to have you hear, hope you enjoy catching up on all my new content 🤍 and good luck on your minimalist journey.
I feel so lucky that the tap water in Norway is amazing fresh and good. ❤ Not many cities in the world can say that.
I love having your videos play in the background while I clean and declutter my space 🤩 It keeps me productive for hours 🙏🏻 Long-time viewer here ❣️
After 40 years of drinking, my dad quit drinking. I'm very grateful.
Thats amazing, congrats to your dad!!
Pray for him. Surely is tuff
Kyra Ann, You're the best! I just had to subscribe!
Yay! Thank you!

Yes! It's also the best thing out there for laminate floors. Doesn't streak at all!
Hi Kyra! ❤️ I would like to see a 'how to run a household' video including everything from cleaning, organising bills, meal planning etc ❤️❤️❤️

You're an inspiration Kyra. I admire you a lot 🏵 Thank you for your hard work and helping us out for all these years!
Same story with me I went to casino with friends and my $20 gone not even 5 mins I was so upset and I said to myself I will never go back in this place
HAHA I swear it's one of the worst places to go as an adult unless you don't mind throwing money away 😫😅
Kyra, I would love a part 2 please❤ loved this one!

@jessicaguzman8054 I am convinced people have 10 step skin care routine just for aesthetics

I'd love a storytime video!

Your eyebrows are perfect 🥰😍

7% grocery tax in my state :(
I was thinking the same thing our state has grocery tax too
WOW thats insane since we all need food to survive. I guess we have one good thing in MA that I will never take for granted anymore.

@@clementine7823 Can you cook? If so, look up TH-cam videos on how to do ‘Fake aways’ x
I think I missed the link to the rechargeable air canaster. Do you know which one you recommended? Thanks for the tips:)
Do the story time ❤

Great video! Thank you :)
Part two please
I don't even know what you could possibly be doing to your face in a 30 step routine. My gosh.
And the derm storytime sounds like it'd be interesting.
Kyra have you ever considered reupholstering your current head and footboard? You could do it yourself for dirt cheap
We have but at this point I just want a real oak wood bed frame and maybe not a head board anymore. Still trying to convince my partner on this idea.

Hey Kyra!🩷 Can you please let me know which water filter you got that attaches to your sink? The one mentioned at 4:30. Sounds like a good idea😊
I live in Germany i also had very bad experience with dermatologysts 😢 but I want to get tretinoid
Btw I love that video

I’m gonna stop buying back up shampoos now
Wow. You don’t look like you’re in your 30’s. Was guessing 25. Like your channel!
