We were going to have a new ice age in 15 years when I was a kid and I am now 56 and noww the world is going to end in 12 years so three years have come off in the last 40 years.
When I was a kid Al Gore said the ice caps would be melted and sea levels would rise. Today some of the biggest proponents of climate change have multi million dollar houses on beachfront property and if I remember right the ice caps have actually grown. I think I've seen where the climate doom sayers have also said the trees are nearly wiped out when in fact we have more trees than we did pre industrialization. I could be wrong, though.

The issue is us humans trying to mess with it. What is strange is when the Earth needed it the most, CO2 was so low, near extinction levels low (plants). This was around the same time as the industrial revolution. Levels are still lower then during much of earths history. This more then anything has made me question science as a whole. I forget the amount of stations but let’s say 10 stations measuring temps. 1 out of those showed warming but warming within normal expectations. While ignoring the others which some showed cooling and others no change that 1 reading is the cause for this hysteria!
Actually they have been dooming us for over 100 years. Back in the 1920s they were telling us the polar ice caps were going to disappear. But thats because the 1920s were a hotter decade than any decade in the last 50+ years that I have been alive.
It is a total fraud, all part of the great reset. Just look a the geological records that show Co2 levels of Earth's life giving climate of around 550 million years. For around 90% of the time Co2 levels have been much higher than now, and by higher I mean up to 20 times higher like in the Cambrian period for tens of millions years. And guess what, no runaway warming, just Earth's greatest historical explosion in diversity of life! We have had ice ages and glaciation with Co2 levels 3 times higher than now! But hey, if we don't slash Co2 emissions that make up less than 0.00001% of atmospheric Co2, that is one particle in ten million, the Earth is going to end? It is complete and utter bunk, always was for anyone who cares to look at the science and how Co2 is a trace gas which isn't even an especially powerful "greenhouse gas" compared to other gasses in the atmosphere (SF6 used in wind farms is 1,000 times more powerful for example) and there is virtually no correlation between Co2 levels and Earth climate history but there is excellent correlation between Solar cycles and Earth climate. If anything it shows that solar cycles drive the amount of Co2 in the atmosphere along with Earth's orbit around the sun. Anyone of any age will tell you the weather hasn't changed, we always had hurricanes, we always had floods, we always had droughts, we always had heatwaves and we always had freezes. And if anyone is still in doubt then ask yourself why the richest people on the planet were the main speakers at Cop26 telling us how we needed to give up our lifestyles and freedom to save the planet while they build private rockets to go into space for their own amusement like Bezos. There isn't a plan to pay for it, it's one of the most expensive plans ever created, and they don't account for the inflation at all. Poor people rely on cheap food, cheap housing, low taxes, and cheap gas. If you cut the tax breaks on fossil fuels, the costs will go up at the pump. (The white house press secretary recently suggested when the prices went up to $4 plus to just go buy a Tesla) Cows emit CO2 from farting all the time. If you tax farmers or place limits on their livestock the price of everything that comes to your dinner table from a farm goes up. There is a housing crisis right now where there aren't enough places for people to live, and due to the lack of competition apartment complexes are charging more than they should because they can (the rents too high Van). So if we spend our time tearing down less energy efficient buildings and rebuilding them according to new government codes, the prices of housing will only go up and we won't be building new housing at the same rate as we are now because we would be too busy retrofitting. Finally, people like AOC want to start a carbon tax to tax people for their environmental impact. While I agree that climate change is a problem, the issue needs to be addressed slowly and carefully by making measured efforts to build more sustainable systems over time. If you care about poor folks, don't support the green new deal because it hits them the hardest. Real change is hard and it takes time.

Maybe we should first examine the scientific model they are using to study climate change and at least have an answer for what the optimum temperature the earth should be. The problems with green energy are many but ill mention: 1. Lack of proper battery storage system and 2. The interrmitence of sources ( wind, sun etc). There are other reasons too but the 2 I mentioned can lead to the impossibility to provide adequate electricity supply WHEN the electrical distribution system needs them. The pick zone). In Europe we are trying for years to do it and I do believe we need to find a cleaner way to produce energy. We dont have the knowledge yet to do it and this is why no one can answer HOW MUCH IT COSTS. They simply cant answer because we dont know.

I work in Oil & Gas…in Texas…I’m also all for renewable forms of energy so long as the average working American can afford it by the time the bill makes it down to them. Getting away from fossil fuels completely is a false hope, usually by people that don’t understand what all exactly the industry provides to the public (plastics, paint, Vaseline, just to name a few). What I’m starting to see more of is animal fat, bio fuels, and used cooking oil as forms of alternative energy. Regardless of what radicals want you to believe…the industry does have a proactive approach to renewables. This helps the industry overall by managing supply in the end. When we let the government make the decisions we end up with wind farms killing bird species and thousands of acres of trees knocked down to install solar farms. We could put them all in the desert….but that’s not what is REALLY happening. Right now they are trading one form of environmental issues for another. But the other makes them more money in the investments they don’t want you to know about in a market that they regulate. Conflict of interest much?!

Geothermal has been brought to my attention, especially the Quaise Energy business, claiming a 20km drill capability, at which point temperatures get to 500°C. What is your opinion on geothermal as a way to make steam and spin turbines for electricity generation? Way I see it, a geothermal plant is less area-intensive than wind and solar, and can make just as much if not more, all around the globe, year-round.
@@ujiltromm7358 I’m not an expert on Geothermal; however, at face value it seems appealing. I will say this, drilling is a dangerous business even at the current depths that we drill to. It will be interesting to see what sort of bumps in the road appear when drilling to those depths. Not that it’s not doable but as with any other form of innovation the unknown variables can have a devastating effect. So long as they have a safe manner of doing it and it achieves the desired result I’d be all for it. I think the road there might be a little longer than expected and certainly dangerous for the drillers but there are some roughnecks out there crazy enough to do it I can assure you that.
I used to work in Nuclear Power, anyone who doesn't even consider Nuclear Power has not done their homework. Nuclear Power is safe, efficient, and has low environmental impact. I can already here doubts, listen every previous nuclear disaster was on nuclear plant design made when the rotary phone was a thing. New technology and new plant design are way safer. Also more people have died working on wind mills than nuclear power. I'm for all sorts of power, but think solar should only be for roof tops and wind mills shouldn't exceed 5ft blade length and fossil fuels should keep looking for ways to be more efficient.

The problem is agenda driven policies that restrict the different areas of energy production from unleashing the talent the industry actually has. Even the NOAA web site (government) lies about this, their website shows a graph of a relationship between CO2 and Temp (a correlation) but no formula that describes the causality. The Vostok Ice Core studies show empirical evidence that CO2 is in 'lagged Equilibrium' to temperature. NOAA is telling the same LIE that Al Gore tells.
They can't tell us what the weather forecast is for next week, at least correctly, but they think they know what will happen in 12 years. It's fear mongering to get their agenda done.

We were going to have a new ice age in 15 years when I was a kid and I am now 56 and noww the world is going to end in 12 years so three years have come off in the last 40 years.
When I was a kid Al Gore said the ice caps would be melted and sea levels would rise. Today some of the biggest proponents of climate change have multi million dollar houses on beachfront property and if I remember right the ice caps have actually grown. I think I've seen where the climate doom sayers have also said the trees are nearly wiped out when in fact we have more trees than we did pre industrialization. I could be wrong, though.

The issue is us humans trying to mess with it. What is strange is when the Earth needed it the most, CO2 was so low, near extinction levels low (plants). This was around the same time as the industrial revolution. Levels are still lower then during much of earths history. This more then anything has made me question science as a whole. I forget the amount of stations but let’s say 10 stations measuring temps. 1 out of those showed warming but warming within normal expectations. While ignoring the others which some showed cooling and others no change that 1 reading is the cause for this hysteria!
Actually they have been dooming us for over 100 years. Back in the 1920s they were telling us the polar ice caps were going to disappear. But thats because the 1920s were a hotter decade than any decade in the last 50+ years that I have been alive.

Just look a the geological records that show Co2 levels of Earth's life giving climate of around 550 million years.
For around 90% of the time Co2 levels have been much higher than now, and by higher I mean up to 20 times higher like in the Cambrian period for tens of millions years.
And guess what, no runaway warming, just Earth's greatest historical explosion in diversity of life!
We have had ice ages and glaciation with Co2 levels 3 times higher than now!
But hey, if we don't slash Co2 emissions that make up less than 0.00001% of atmospheric Co2, that is one particle in ten million, the Earth is going to end?
It is complete and utter bunk, always was for anyone who cares to look at the science and how Co2 is a trace gas which isn't even an especially powerful "greenhouse gas" compared to other gasses in the atmosphere (SF6 used in wind farms is 1,000 times more powerful for example) and there is virtually no correlation between Co2 levels and Earth climate history but there is excellent correlation between Solar cycles and Earth climate.
If anything it shows that solar cycles drive the amount of Co2 in the atmosphere along with Earth's orbit around the sun.
Anyone of any age will tell you the weather hasn't changed, we always had hurricanes, we always had floods, we always had droughts, we always had heatwaves and we always had freezes.
And if anyone is still in doubt then ask yourself why the richest people on the planet were the main speakers at Cop26 telling us how we needed to give up our lifestyles and freedom to save the planet while they build private rockets to go into space for their own amusement like Bezos.

There isn't a plan to pay for it, it's one of the most expensive plans ever created, and they don't account for the inflation at all. Poor people rely on cheap food, cheap housing, low taxes, and cheap gas. If you cut the tax breaks on fossil fuels, the costs will go up at the pump. (The white house press secretary recently suggested when the prices went up to $4 plus to just go buy a Tesla) Cows emit CO2 from farting all the time. If you tax farmers or place limits on their livestock the price of everything that comes to your dinner table from a farm goes up. There is a housing crisis right now where there aren't enough places for people to live, and due to the lack of competition apartment complexes are charging more than they should because they can (the rents too high Van). So if we spend our time tearing down less energy efficient buildings and rebuilding them according to new government codes, the prices of housing will only go up and we won't be building new housing at the same rate as we are now because we would be too busy retrofitting. Finally, people like AOC want to start a carbon tax to tax people for their environmental impact. While I agree that climate change is a problem, the issue needs to be addressed slowly and carefully by making measured efforts to build more sustainable systems over time. If you care about poor folks, don't support the green new deal because it hits them the hardest. Real change is hard and it takes time.

Nevermind the fact that the earth has gone through periods of warming and cooling throughout its existence, multiple ice ages and mass extinctions. The problems with green energy are many but ill mention: 1. Lack of proper battery storage system and 2. The interrmitence of sources ( wind, sun etc). There are other reasons too but the 2 I mentioned can lead to the impossibility to provide adequate electricity supply WHEN the electrical distribution system needs them. The pick zone). In Europe we are trying for years to do it and I do believe we need to find a cleaner way to produce energy. We dont have the knowledge yet to do it and this is why no one can answer HOW MUCH IT COSTS. They simply cant answer because we dont know.

I work in Oil & Gas…in Texas…I’m also all for renewable forms of energy so long as the average working American can afford it by the time the bill makes it down to them. Getting away from fossil fuels completely is a false hope, usually by people that don’t understand what all exactly the industry provides to the public (plastics, paint, Vaseline, just to name a few). What I’m starting to see more of is animal fat, bio fuels, and used cooking oil as forms of alternative energy. Regardless of what radicals want you to believe…the industry does have a proactive approach to renewables. This helps the industry overall by managing supply in the end. When we let the government make the decisions we end up with wind farms killing bird species and thousands of acres of trees knocked down to install solar farms. We could put them all in the desert….but that’s not what is REALLY happening. Right now they are trading one form of environmental issues for another. But the other makes them more money in the investments they don’t want you to know about in a market that they regulate. Conflict of interest much?!

What is your opinion on geothermal as a way to make steam and spin turbines for electricity generation? Way I see it, a geothermal plant is less area-intensive than wind and solar, and can make just as much if not more, all around the globe, year-round.
@@ujiltromm7358 I’m not an expert on Geothermal; however, at face value it seems appealing. I will say this, drilling is a dangerous business even at the current depths that we drill to. It will be interesting to see what sort of bumps in the road appear when drilling to those depths. Not that it’s not doable but as with any other form of innovation the unknown variables can have a devastating effect. So long as they have a safe manner of doing it and it achieves the desired result I’d be all for it. I think the road there might be a little longer than expected and certainly dangerous for the drillers but there are some roughnecks out there crazy enough to do it I can assure you that.
I used to work in Nuclear Power, anyone who doesn't even consider Nuclear Power has not done their homework. Nuclear Power is safe, efficient, and has low environmental impact.
I can already here doubts, listen every previous nuclear disaster was on nuclear plant design made when the rotary phone was a thing. New technology and new plant design are way safer. Also more people have died working on wind mills than nuclear power. I'm for all sorts of power, but think solar should only be for roof tops and wind mills shouldn't exceed 5ft blade length and fossil fuels should keep looking for ways to be more efficient.

The problem is agenda driven policies that restrict the different areas of energy production from unleashing the talent the industry actually has. As long as there are political agendas there will never be real solutions. Tragic but true unfortunately. Another reason politicians shouldn’t be trading in the markets they regulate to begin with.

CO2 does NOT drive atmospheric temperature rise. The opposite is true. Temperature rise causes a subsequent rise in CO2, and that relationship is called 'The CO2
Temperature Equilibrium Model Equation', stated as; CO2(t+l)=mT(t)+b. Even the NOAA web site (government) lies about this, their website shows a graph of a relationship between CO2 and Temp (a correlation) but no formula that describes the causality. The Vostok Ice Core studies show empirical evidence that CO2 is in 'lagged Equilibrium' to temperature. NOAA is telling the same LIE that Al Gore tells.
