I read a piece that Madeleine Zima was not very happy with her time there. She felt like she was only window dressing, essentially. Well you were a 6 year old kid and the show was The NANNY

Yeah Madeline Zima didn't have a great time doing the nanny but she did like being around Fran.
Fran is so likeable which is why even 28 yrs later The Nanny is STILL one of the most loved sitcoms out there. She just has good energy💋💋
She could still pull off being the nanny even after 30 years.

Up to this day I still watch The Nanny. I never get bored of it even though I know every line. There's something genious and magic about this show. I don't think even Friends can be compared to it.

As a queer boy growing up The Nanny was my escape from hell I was living at school and then high school. I'm from Costa Rica and they used to play the show on weekends, I used to look foward those days when I could watch The Nanny without feeling guilty of being femenine 🥰.

Fran looks like she hasn't aged a day. She looks incredible. What s beautiful actress. In and out. I loved this show growing up. It helped me with my depression. Brought laughs and smiles to my life. ❤
She’s right. You have to try to be brave even when you lack self-confidence to seize the day when opportunity comes your way. They say you regret more the things you don’t do rather than the things you do and I can say this is true. I’ve told my nephews when they were younger to say Yes to things when offered and try it out. If it really isn’t your thing, you can say No. It’s Ok. I remember getting a call in the late 90’s to be an extra in the first X-Men movie but I had the flu at the time so I declined. I should have agreed and I would have probably felt better by the time of filming. One of my biggest regrets.

That's so sweet she hired not only a mentor but someone she had that relationship with. She knew him! And she's right if you're gonna have a show with kids you're responsible to help raise them too.
It warms my heart to know you made sure the kiddos were taken care of through out the length of the series. I always loved the fashion on your show, you have always been and continue to be such an icon. But you will always be the bestest nanny to me, now that I know you literally had the kids' best interest at heart!

I love that she wanted to be a mentor to them. I love she became positive influence for them. You can tell she really loved them and are proud of them.
Fran. How did you keep up your PERFECT body during and after the show ? Just diet and exercise or also great genetics ?
You can see how shredded she was. Her arms are very muscular and so you can tell she spent a couple of ours in the gym per week and a good diet plays a big role. Judging from her physique she took care of her body very well and worked really hard. Genetics play a minor role in this. To look that muscular you have to lift heavy nonetheless.

“The Nanny” is a classic like “The Honeymooners”, “The Golden Girls”, “Mom”, “Coach”, “Frazier”, “Friends”, and “The Big Bang Theory”. These are shows that you can watch over and over again and still find the humor in each episode time and again. I have several friends and relatives who like me watch “The Nanny” on COZI TV 📺 from 11PM TO 1PM. Thank you Fran Drescher for the much needed and always welcome laughter in this chaotic world of ours. You are WONDERFUL! 😘
I’m glad she made it during the 90s and how she seized the opportunity and got far with it. Even after all these years, I still watch reruns of this show.

FRAN LOOKS AMAZING!!! My mum and I watched this show all the time. We had actually started rewatching it and was on season 2 when she passed away suddenly in July of this year [2021]. Miss her beyond words. I really hope there is some kind of revival! 2023 will be 30 years since it aired! It will be great to see what those characters are up to!

_The Nanny_ was one of the few girlie shows (to my teenaged mind) that I was unabashed in watching. The show, and everyone on it, deserves every accolade that they get and more.

I loved this series, all the characters were chosen very well. The roles were right for each of you. Also, I loved your dresses and bathrobes, it would be nice to be able to buy these types of bathrobes...

Thanks Fran for teaching me the expression "carpe diem." I didn't even know such an expression existed. Shows that the real life Fran is more knowledgeable and sophisticated than the sitcom Fran. I wonder what Nanny Fine would have said if Maggie had asked her the meaning of carpe diem. The same goes for Val.
