WE used to perform this on the Grand Ole' Opry and I always heard it was an Oaks song, but never heard it! This is awesome. We did it quite a bit punchier. Golden is a gas hear. Had the privilege of working with them for many years on and off on my shows.
only time I ever saw the Oaks was when they sang this song, Loved it and still do. although the live version i heard sounds a little better. Thanks for the memory
Well, let's see now. I started listening to the Oak Ridge Boys when I was like 15 years old. I'm 60 on my next birthday. I guess I'm catching up to them in age. And now I'm trying to see if I can book them for my church someday soon. Funny how life works.
I was a kid not there, my Grand Mother had all their Gospel Albums we use to play them on a Stereo system the size of a Couch when I would stay with her. Lord God do I miss her and Mama
Beautiful song !
The Mighty Oaks!!!
Amen 🙏

Kenny Parker of the Kenny Parker Trio wrote this song.
Kenny Parker played the piano for the Rambos in the early 70s
It's awesome to see Golden singing lead during these tears.
I love to hear bill golden on this song

They recorded & released this song in 1974.
Wow!!
I wonder if anyone watching this now was actually there when they taped this video?

When did Bill Golden start going by William Lee Golden?
He goes by that name because that is his given name.
Good singing. But the Oak Ridge Boys stage antics at that was turning Southern Gospel music fans off.
