This was back in the day before they made it really big, but they were well on their way. They're all skinny! Always loved watching William Lee on stage. His mic stand became his baton at times. Great sound. Great memories.
Who else knows that this melody is “Sweeter Than The Flowers”? Also, the jackets and especially, the hair! I say this with the greatest affection because I am one of the all time greatest Oak Ridge Boys fans.
WLTC Radio, Gastonia, NC played Oak Ridge Boys "King Jesus" filling in for "Miss Tilley" our gospel DJ. Remember how well she was concerned when "Y'all Come Back Saloon" was their turning point in music.
Wasn't that Duane Allen singing lead? Richard was definitely on the far right. It looked like William Lee Golden next to him. Joe appeared to be on the far left. This must have been not long after he joined them. They recorded this song before that. Things sure have changed regarding hair, clothes, and songs.

So Neat seeing the Oakridge Boys when they were so young! Wonderful Sound!
I remember seeing them on the Mike Douglas Show many years ago... I've been a fan since these guys recorded their first album... Love them all 💕
I want bell bottoms and long side burns to come in again. They were cool.

Yes before all the Hair

Was that golden or someone else ?
Yes, it's Golden
I am so glad that horrible 'Beatles' hair style is gone.
I liked it.
