@@Tupeutla whilst correct, he did have a stick. You can have dual controls, just tend to have the PIC in the right seat unlike fixed wing which is the left seat (typically, but not always of course)

Throughout watching old top gear I've only now realised how vast a skill set Hammond possesses
They all have vast skills and combined can drive nearly all types of vehicles. Jeremy has oat licence, May has plane licence and Hammond has helicopter licence. I only do not know if any of them can drive a submarine

Those are marvelous by British standards.
I crewed a CET with true friends, I commanded a CET with true friends, and I instructed courses on the CET to Sappers I had just met. I had 3 of them [affectionately known as "Frogs"] under my command for almost 3 years and loved very minute. They are temperamental, noisy and prone to failure - but an absolute blast and certainly a way to get yourself noticed when on public roads. Great times which remain a highlight of my life.
The ending to this episode was so funny. Jeremy prolonging the episode by talking about how awesome his mine clearing machine was and then asking "what are they gonna do? Cut us o-" had me laughing when I was young xD
