Well, Ken, you ask a question this time and I have your answer. What does IFBA stand for on the needle nose plier? I worked my way through college as a Millwright so I have ran into these letters before. It stands for a "IFBA or (IFAA) Biosafety Association Sustainability Tool". It is sort of a "certification" rather than a "trademark". You can find more info by searching my description online. I may be wrong but that's the best I can remember and I'm getting old!
I was lucky enough to get my grandpa's entire tool collection when he passed few years ago, the old tools just work so much better than the newer stuff
He definitely finds nice stuff in the dumpster. He hasn't posted just recently, but I'm always waiting for his video. You are correct. I'm not a expert. I have been corrected, and appreciate when people do because i can research their direction. Funny that you mentioned that because i was just watching a channel from Ohio where the guy does tool history. Today's subject was 9 minutes on Crescent. Thank you for the shout out Kev. When I started posting i didn't expected to exceed 50 subscribers..
Cool Tools ! Still playing the pin ball machines? Always looking for cool old tools here…..used to be only Craftsman, but a Great friend and mentor has me “Playing the Field” now 🤣 They are all important……Williams, Proto, Snap On, Plomb, Blue-Point, S-K……..ETC………👍👏🇺🇸 Top
I play the 1961 EggHead Pinball… It’s Electro Mechanical …. I can do certain things on it to keep it going… a couple things I still haven’t figured out.. but doesn’t keep me from playing it! Collecting more than one brand! It can be tough to diversify, 🤓I totally understand! When you like something you like it! Thanks Top 👍🇺🇸👍
I really enjoy DAwR! I’ve been subscribed to him for quite some time. He does find a lot of tools and other cool things. I love tools as well and I’m frequently picking them up at estate sales as well. I haven’t made a video about that but maybe I’ll have to rethink that. Those pliers looked the same to me as well.
I have the some of my dad tools that hung on the wall and I could not use when he was alive I think they came for his grandfather and I keep them in my grandfather. Old tool box in my garage.
must be that rubber breaking down with age cus my 15 year old knipex pipe wrench with the same kind of handles have the exact same blackish brown material on them
Great video Kevin, old tools are the best, I have a couple pair of old side cutters that need new handle coating and sharping, that will be something for this winter in the RJG.🫵🏼💯🆒🇺🇸
@@Kevscancave yes i have used that before, if i remember right it worked pretty good. You are a tick away from 2k Subs and sneaking up on a million views, great job. 👍

This is a very good tool which is usually used to remove objects

That might be a marking from the foundry to help identify one side from the other to make it easier to pair them up for assembling. Just a wild guess.

Thanks OL’ Tom! They’ve been good no doubt! 👍 Take Care!
I wonder if Crescent made tools for different retailers and just put their handles on them?
Good question Matt! Hmmmm..👍
Nice one Kev! Im not positive, but the ifba may be a rating for certain certifications like electrical, etc. Thanks for sharing!!

I wonder if it's a knock off tool or one of those things that one company makes and just puts who evers name on it.
