Behind The Scenes With 1309 (Part 1)

With Trains Magazine having released their Documentary on Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309, "Steaming the last Baldwin", and with the publishment of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad's FMW commissioned Documentary on the 1309, "Allegany Rails" being released as a fundraising tool, we at APSL have decided to release our own two-part companion program, "Behind The Scenes With 1309", to compliment these two great programs.
Part 1 features scenes of the 1309 during preparations for its move from the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore to its new home on the WMSR at Cumberland. At Cumberland, we catch back up with the 1309 and you will see scenes such as CSX delivering the 1309 as well as the unloading of "Maryland Thunder".

A long and rough life it was for the old Mallet, but now she gets to sing again, out of any steam locomotive I really didn't expect her to make such a massive comeback, and yet here we are

Is this locomotives be repaired and put back in service

The locomotive (1309) was repaired and placed back into service in 2020. However, the locomotive has spent a significant amount of time since then, out of service for additional unforeseen repairs.
