When I carry a secondary it’s usually a spidie with a wire clip, they make great back pocket and in the jacket carry. For me, I’ve always preferred a blacked out clip. I can’t carry a shiny clip. Good video, I’ve never thought of adjusting a back lock
hey buddy, a lot of people dislike backlocks and think they are NOT fidget friendly.........i am with you brother.........spyderco lockbacks are fidget heaven just like you open and close yours , i love my lil native lockback just wish they would do more varients 👊👊
I like your thoughts regarding “sub harvesting”. Love the Chapparal. Spyderco should actually be “ashamed” of their “carbon fiber”. It’s disgusting and pretty much just ass.
I wish spyderco would put wire clips on every one of their knives. It is so much better than their flat clips. Thanks for the review. "suck it kyle!" I love it.
Have you ever messed with the Spyderco Swayback? A lot of people were pissed off about the clip but I really like it. I bought it when it was first released thinking it was going to be another Slysz Bowie. Anyway, I carried it for 6 months lefty because I like spydie-flicking it better than right handed thumb flick or whatever. I found it really enjoyable even though it’s not something you’d think would be preferable to a lefty. The hole is small but it doesn’t seem to matter because of the stellar action once broken in. Yeah.
Good 1! Might pick FRN one up if I find it for half price somewhere. O BTW I uploaded video of what I meant with easy one handed operation on back lock, can't miss it my 1st upload. Well I find it as easy as a liner lock on most knives...
I think you mentioned that you live in PA. I saw in the video the Microtech Auto and since you were talking about how you carry I assume you EDC it on occasion. So I thought I would point out that carrying autos in PA is illegal. Autos are illegal. If you already are aware of this and choose to carry one that's your choice but I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the statute.
Yea i live in Pa. I used to care about that law but i don’t get frisked often and I wonder how much a cop would actually care. It is an old law. Outdated. But still a law, so do what you are comfortable with. *I am not a lawyer
I'm fine with the carbon fibre being that way..though I hate pretty much all carbon fibre . I just don't get it, much like your dislike of sub harvesting :) I do like Kubey's cf though, not sure why it is different to me. I really want a raffir noble chap though, but its hard to find much info on the knife itself. I've never understood the whole primary, secondary, etc stuff either for knives unless there's limitations to the knife. Use the tool for the job...then again, I've got knives and tools everywhere on me generally. And what's wrong with WD40...I had a steady diet of it as a kid and I turned out perfectly fine as an adult! ;)
Well Done on the CTS-XHP. I just can't do it!! Screws with my head. 🤣🤣
I told you twice that you were going to like that little knife !
By far the most underrated Spyderco.
Yea its good

Looks like an excellent little secondary carry. Great review 👍
The Chapparal is just an awesome little knife and I love it Spyderco should use real carbon fiber thanks for sharing Kev
That would be awesome if they did
Thanx for the cool video...I just ordered the regular one but want to get the carbon fiber or raffir noble but will see.
