And when forced to reveal his method he writes one word. Tesla. Could this suggest he knows that Andy Serkis is the real Tesla? Tesla had yet to invent a duplicating machine yet Tesla is what he wrote.

Science and nature and magic all come together because a guy who can't let go of a grudge said to a brilliant scientist: "Can you make a machine that does this"" And because the scientist is such a genius, he can make exactly that machine. But Borden didn't get Tesla to build him a machine like that. That's just Angier's assumption. Borden was trying to tell him: "Just like TESLA uses a double, I'm using a double." Angier went and crossed the lines of science and nature not being able to accept the simplicity of it all. Borden can spot what the old chinese guy was up to, and even used "a double" in his magic trick with the bird in the cage. Just look at Borden when he attends the public display of Teslas machine where "unfortunately" Tesla couldn't attend but Andy Serkis could. Borden is smiling. He sees the trick. Serkis is actually Tesla, Bowie is a front.
Dude, imagine a story where someone had such a competition in them that they were willing to break the laws of nature to get their victory. I haven't seen such cold shit since Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood. Begs the question... what IS magic? There is deception and then there is what Tesla can do.
