For a guy who never made it to the big time, he sure does have an awful lot of stories to tell. And how could he have photographed Kiss in 1972 when the band didn't form until 1973? His timeline is a bit off, unless he's referring to Paul's and Gene's pre-Kiss band Wicked Lester.

Post Wicked Lester, and basically pre-KISS when they were a trio before ACE was there. I know Rik and it’s actually true.
Yeah, I often wonder about his coat tail riding as well….makes some good stories nonetheless
