The dash panels, on the Wii U version, made you go ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. But now that the characters are way faster on the Switch version, the dash panels barely make a difference. (They DO stil make you go faster for a bit, but now it goes almost unnoticed.)
I know im late but i have some ideas for the custom dash panels: -For a troll, one that makes you go very slow and there is gombas around you, and you cant escape the gombas - for another troll, you go across tons of normal dash panels and then a random one make you zoom in outer space - still a troll, a dash panel that freezes you (the 0 speed ones with a ceiling really close to the ground so you cant move with your jumps) and theres lava rising and youll die to it I have some other, but ill let you find some yourself, these are not MY mods. Hope youll consider my ideas, keep up the good work your videos are pretty entertaining. Have a great day/night :)
Add a checkpoint with each troll, so that they die over and over. Edit the amount of cat shines you need to beat the game and hide the trolls under the shines so that they get baited into the trap. And cover the troll up. for example, go to Mount magmeow and don't put the trolls *on* mount magmeow but create super visible non-secret entrances to the rooms which will be *inside* mount magmeow. add a trap so that people don't think that it's *too good to be true* and isn't suspicious Via Being too easy to *get.*
Maybe you could make a custom level when all of the Dash panels are so fast that they shoot you into a Death Zone and there is this huge level that you have to get to the end without touching a dash panel and it could get harder and harder.

It would be interesting to see a level that has mostly dash panels. It could be a fun challenge where you have to control your speed through the level. For a level like Super Bell Hill, you could remove the clear pipe that takes you to the checkpoint so you’d have to use the dash panels to make the jump.
Since the Dash Panels were indirectly nerfed in the Switch port, you had to buff them... maybe a little too much! My favorite one was the 1 speed with a longer timer one, seeing Mario run on the water like that reminded me a lot of Luigi in Mario 64 DS.

Great question! Depending on how you get there, either an invisible wall that prevents you from going farther, or weird graphics/ changes in lighting, or just emptiness

A cool level idea would be to have some dash panels would stop/slow you down while others acted normally. I think it’s be cool as long as the slow ones have some sort of indication that they slow you down.
Suggestion for a level:A level with 1 dash panel that makes you go 2x as fast. There can be different kinds of dash panels in the same level, like ones that cancel your speed (0s on the timer for 1x speed), ones that make you go really fast (2.5x speed), and ones that slow you down (.5 to .8x speed). This may be asking a bit too much though, so sorry if I am. I'm enjoying these videos and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Suggestions from my kiddo: Remake Super Bell Hill with only 30 seconds before you die & dash panels that slow you down (but have time you can collect). Or see if dash panels work on Bowser. Or have dash panels in a Boo mansion as trolls - some to slow you down when Boos appear, & others tho) to throw you out of the screen at 100,000 speed.

A way to enforce a “you can only move while jumping” challenge would be a 0 speed panel with a super long timer.
