I don't know much about that because I used Bluestacks to play this. I believe it is possible to use bluetooth to connect some controllers to Android, though. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the version of this game that is currently available on the Play Store doesn't even have gamepad support.

It sucks that this game ends on a huge, unresolved cliffhanger. I enjoyed the game overall minus that cliffhanger.
There is an Age of Zombies 2 in development. Can't say I like everything about it from the footage I've seen, though.
