Very cool project! I like the “thick-and-thin” scarf too. It is quirky, but has a certain style that works. I think it would look great with a black top. Two very different looks. 🦋
The day I was working on my voiceover, I had on a pink sweater. The thick and thin scarf actually looked pretty cute paired with the pink. I'm sure I will get some use out of it or find it a nice home. I was a bit worried about having it be the only representation of the pattern. Although, with an open weave pattern like this one, it can be fun to try out novelty yarns. I can definitely imagine it worked up in an eyelash yarn.
@@windrosefiberstudio Ooh. That would be fun. I did like the Hometown yarn too. The stitch definition it revealed was very pretty. It’s a versatile pattern.
The thick and thin yarn looks wonderful!!! The chunky parts look like flowers in your staged shots! I like the unevenness a lot. The second example was really great to see to envision a totally different outcome. A really well done tutorial with the extras. Thank you for showing it! I'm a sort of new enthusiast who is just in love with the possibilities of crochet.
Thank you! That’s so nice to hear! As you are a new crochet enthusiast, I would always be interested in hearing what sorts of things you would like to learn to crochet.
@@windrosefiberstudio I'm looking for interesting texture sweaters for men and women in DK and worsted weights, actually. I'm pretty good with the technical parts of things. I'm learning textures combined with sweater patterns. I just got plenty of yarn on sale black friday. I just went with it knowing I'd find the right patterns to learn from. I really like precision. Do you have any suggestions? I love finding great designers. We're so spoiled these days.
@@barbaraZ-z9m I am not the best at keeping up with designers, but one name immediately sprang to mind. I really love Yumiko Alexander's work. I have her book Rustic Modern Crochet and have made several of her patterns. My favorite is the one on the cover. It's a lacy, asymmetrical "poncho" (for lack of a better word) called Sea Turtle. It's just such a pretty light layer that I use all year round. She definitely plays with texture and I feel like her designs have an elegance to them.
@@windrosefiberstudio You're amazing. Thank you for sharing! I look forward to checking this out. I'm following your channel and look forward to what I get to see.
