Oh yeah, Joe, he is a dang hard worker. Tim, I'm sure that he is totally thankful for all of his hard work. Joe jumps, digs, chops, saws, climbs under, in and all around to break a vehicle free from whatever binds it to mother earth, that is for sure. Hey Joe! You Are The MAN! 😎🫡👌👍💪😃
At 22:06:00, that Chevy C60 farm truck..those things had the most crazy unique faces. I love that style. Four headlights and the in-hood front mounted turn/running lights. Just a cool look for that era.
Poison ivy make me itch just thinking about it. I’ve never seen it in Colorado but used to get it often when I lived in Massachusetts. Great old solid trucks rescued, great job Tim and Joe
The old mainline was everything yiu needed in basic transportation and nothing you did not need. They need to start producibg cars and trucks like that again for the American market place. Consumers would flock to the dealerships to get to them. Just the basics. 😊
I had to look it up and discovered it's different from my tow strap so I just learned something. Thanks. Especially since I have quite a few vehicles stuck in the ground that I'll have to yank out soon.
You can also put an old tire between two chains to get by 'till you can get a good kinetic rope. It will get you the same results at a much cheaper price.
You and Joe and Gordon put a lot of work into recovering these relics, kudos to all! I cannot imagine that the 54 Ford 4 door has enough valuable parts left to justify the labor expended getting it home, but you certainly know these things much better than I do, so I'm assuming it was worth it. Sending good vibes your way to get past whatever you've got going on.
cut the 54 down the middle and make a wall hanger.... Silas could help you out there. 😁😁 31:36, that Leg or mason vice is thing worth grabbing as thry were designed to withstand heavy hammering in a blacksmith shop.
Here's a way to think that butterfly being on the outer gas cap and then inside with you coulda been the old farmer following you thanking you for getting his probably favorite work truck!😎👍
That GMC is a beautiful truck. You scored big on that one. I love that model and it even has a winch. I would restore that and put a nice paint job on it. Would make a great 5th wheel toter.
I think that 74 will get snatched up by the interweb passerbys. I remember getting a 74 back in 1990ish and farmer said a you don't see 73' or 74s they've all rusted away!
I tell ya Mr. Goodpliers, that Blue C10 is very nice truck, body panels are in great shape considering the year and the work it was for. You shouldn't have any problems getting rid of it, especially since the square body trucks are making a comeback. Excellent buy sir. I also like those bigger dump trucks as well. I personally prefer crewcab trucks, those are hot vehicles too right now. Thanks again for sharing your videos, looking forward to seeing the next one sir.
You would like me...I am NOT allergic to Poison Ivy...I could lay down and roll in it be fine...What fun video to watch...I once owned 1974 3/4 ton Chevy pickup & my grandpa's brother had old Ford car like what loaded on trailer...3 on tree transmission, that color even, that car was what I learned to drive growing up in 70's would drive around farm it didn't have current plates so would just drive on dirt roads but brings back memories...might oil hood springs on pickup b4 bend hood, i didn't know to do that till to late!
Love that old GMC with the fifth wheel it reminds me of grandpa's oil truck as he worked for shell😊 70s something C-10 Chevy was something my old man had a couple of too! They took a hell of a beating and kept on running! Sound beautiful w/o exhaust😂 neighbor didn't agree
Tim, I'm itching just watching the poison ivy.I am sooo allergic to it. You should get you a box of Tyvac suits to wear in these circumstances and then rip it off when u are done,no itch,no dirt and no red grease! We all love you man so keep Truckin like you are the Rubber duck!!
Yrs ago coop's red grease was multi purpose all temperature grease. In the late 50's they had not developed all temperature grease yet. In fall harvest dad brought his grease gun in the house at night and bucket if nessary.
This has to be your most impressive haul yet IMHO. That '58 is one SWEET roller. The white grain truck is going to make a FINE hauler for you - always loved that front end look with the cat-eye lights. The C10 was just a wonderful find and grab. Whatever you paid, you'll be A-OK on resale. The '54 Ford was just a great save! SO many good parts on that rig, and if I were retired right now, I would be crazy enough to stitch a bunch of tin on the right side - after all, the driver's side is perfect for inverted pattern work - and turn that into a fun rat rod; my phone would have TONS of "before" pictures just to freak people out at the local car rally. That was a fun and enviable 38 minutes of trucking goodness - thanks to the BEST speaking voice on YT!
I'm really digging your content. Feel free to spend more time filming things like the collapsed old workshop. I really enjoy seeing the old tools, how they set the shop up, etc. The nostalgic person in me can see the now deceased old timer or his Dad or Granddad working in that shop decades ago. Such a piece of Americana
Also, purists rock! The word needs more. It's 100 times more challenging (and satisfying) to restore a vehicle to assembly line spec and appearance, than to just throw whatever aftermarket anything on it. Keep on it!
That C-10 is pretty good. Even with only 76,000 miles on it, you should rebuild the engine. I usually rebuilt my engines at 80,000 in those days. If you waited til 100,000 it was a much more expensive rebuild. I did the work myself. When properly tuned that 350 should start in less than one turn. Restore it and keep it. That's a better truck than anything you can find new and a lot cheaper. I'm restoring my 85 C-10 this summer. Good Luck, Rick
Good saves, I'm ASKING that Joe at least tries a will it run on the big GMC. That ol girl really looks like a brake service & tires might be about all it'd need!
Before you guys even mentioned it... I was freaking out about all of that poison ivy. If I get near it, I'm done for about a month :-/ Those are some *great old rigs though.* Nice job.
Afternoon Tim, I like vintage trucks, I really like your vintage Jimmy, I was trying to look for a yellow knob on the dash(air brakes)... hopefully someone will get er up and running....was it gas or diesel?
Ooh man, I love these old trucks! But don't use a chain to yank'em loose. You'll destroy both your truck and whatever you are recovering! Buy a 2" Yankum Kinetic Rope or the same from Tactical Recovery Equipment. Get a big one ! Best regards from Norway.
My question is, what happens to the vehicle after you guys bring them back to "Rust Ranch.? Do you get them running/road worthy, or they simply sit in the cow pasture?
Nice finds. Have you considered buying one of those stretching tow straps? I have read about and tried washing my skin 3 times after contacting poison ivy. It has worked very well for me. It's sad to see the condition of that Mainline's right side.
Wow, that first truck you pulled out of the bushes and poison ivy, The Deisel Creek guy could make a project out of it,Was adventures made from scratch there? always enjoy you bringing us along
@@Mercmad I am here in western Washington State,, He is one of the few people that pointed out Poison Ivy , for us who dont know what we are looking at sometimes,Great video, we have Thistle andBees in my area and blackberry briar here
Amazing how the 74 Chevy truck had the original small mirrors still and hasn’t had giant mirrors screwed into the sheet metal, nice buy!
sure glad Joe likes to work. Pony up and give the man a hand from time to time

i WISH i WAS NOT 84 YEARS OLD i WOULD SEND YOU A CHECK AND HAVE THAT TRUCK RESTORED EVEN AT $30,000.00.
Woww that GMC = SWEET AS That's a keeper send it too SOUTH AUSTRALIA i,ll have it
Old gmc looks tuff as
The 74 looks good . I love that GMC. What a good-looking truck.
Poison ivy make me itch just thinking about it. I’ve never seen it in Colorado but used to get it often when I lived in Massachusetts. Great old solid trucks rescued, great job Tim and Joe
You must have felt like a kid in a big candy store Mr. GP. The two tone white over blue Chevy square body pickup is my pick of the bunch.
I agree John!
Either that one or the 1960 Chevy.
Awesome 74 Chevy square body. I got 73 GMC I'm restoring love those trucks😊

Wow, you had to work for every one of these rusting relics!
MAN LOOK AT THAT LOVE VINE, WHEN IT TOUCHS YOU IT MOST ALWAYS GIVES YOU A KISS OF SECRET TOUCH.
That ol Jimmy deserves a starring role in a new Mad Max : Fury Road 2 movie.
Love these old farm trucks reminds me of riding with my Grandpa during harvest time ❤ Thank you for your fantastic videos!!
Never seen a 54 Ford ,
Slead Sled, that was fun .
You need to get a kinetic recovery rope (like Yankum) for those tough pull-it-loose jobs.

GUYS, great job getting those up on the trailers! I LOVE the roller trolley on the double trailer!!! FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!
Two chains and a truck tire in the middle to absorb the shock. Works like a snatch-um strap.

Love the white Chevy Farm truck. We had a 36 series Apache LWB Panel truck. Especially like those eye brows on the hood!
You and Joe aught to restore that GMC for retrieving relics.
Good to think that these vehicles , or parts of them, will live on?
All the trucks are viable contenders to see the road again. The Ford car is strictly parts

Drop in a 671 Detroit! Straight pipes👍
The old GMC is the sail of the day that is a beautiful truck I would love to have one like it
Good score on the truck , run’s drives , and look’s great

love the big GMC mates
Beautiful classics I'm amazed all that glass is intact! Must be rather backwoods
NICE TO SEE OLD RUST BEING SAVED. I LOVE THE 74C10!!!
Sorry that you’re hitting a rough stretch of road, keep the videos coming, they help me go down my rough road too!
The white truck will be a good workhorse. May you enjoy piloting it.

Sure brings back memories. Like to find a late 30's or early 40's ford or chevrolet truck for a project to replace a project that got stolen.
Major bummer, I am very sorry to hear of your bad luck.
Joe has a few of that era at the Rust Ranch. His email is rustranchkansas@gmail.com

Mr. B. Here ! The 1954 Ford I think need some love ( Big Time ) LOL 😂😂
Very clean 74 C10, much nicer than the 74 I had or the 73 C30 with utility box I have now
great old GMC you guys unburied.... Along with all the poison ivy, I think I also spotted poison hemlock! I admire your determination
Great GMC

Yes that was cool Peace out
Wow 😮 watching that truck come out of there it was like watching a monster come back to life
Mr Goodpliers I really appreciate the part about what poison ivy looks like but how can your buddy be so close to it? Won’t he catch it?
Poison Ivy is a strange plant. As kids, I could walk through it., no problems. My brother could be down wind of it, and be in misery for days.
Joe needs a Yankum snatch rope! That GMC would have been easier to remove.. great find
Love the 58 Chev truck.

Ik right I wonder the same we need follow ups with some running or something😂
I just yanked an old '20s Fordson steel wheeler out of retirement! Poor old gal doesn't know how to act out in the open!
Tim,
I’m still waiting to hear from you about the 74 Oldsmobile that has parts that I am in need of.

That big GMC truck just "Thank You, Jesus, I'm FREE!!!" ..."free at last!"
The '54 Ford needs replacement parts for the right side
