@Screaming Mimi's I follow her on Instagram and have seen lots of her interviews, concert footage, etc. From what I have seen, she has had lots of interesting outfits and hair colors in more recent years as well as in the past. I do get what you're saying about her in the 90's, and I agree that Cyndi is a superb artist who doesn't get enough respect. I also think that not being a megastar may have freed her up to experiment more with different genres--blues, standards, country and even writing the Tony-winning score for Kinky Boots! Not to mention her charitable work with True Colors. I think Cyndi is a legend, and I'm glad she was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame. I fear she'll never be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a singer, and that's a terrible shame, but I don't think it's on her. She went her own way and has produced quality work for decades.
She was the epitomy of pop rock. She is the color of the 80s. She shines the colors. And the 80's was the best decade for music video and sound changes that ever existed! And I was never more alive than when I was out listening to all the one hit wonders and the coming of pure talent from every direction. It was MAGICAL! Every moment. And will always be the best days of freind's, life and family!

What we even then saw as disposable garbage music is absolute GOLD that will go down in history forever, and I am so proud of my generation's contributions to this world.

I absolutely adore Cyndi! I grew up in NY, late 70's so I relate to her character. I have a huge framed poster with her laying on a chase sofa hanging on my wall. I think it's a record promo for "True Colors" album, 1986. She's so uniquely creative & gifted with increadable vocal skills! Such a brilliant artist with mega rock star qualities. It would be awesome if she did something with Pink.

She's so Great! This is very interesting. I want to read her book. I started to self-publish (including about abuse) and I toned some of it down because of family. Soon I will release a very small book of only 8 short poems about abuse with the word "Flower" in the title. I (for now at least) did not put in the poems that I wasn't ready to publish yet. Maybe someday I will. I wish my voice wasn't damaged cause I would love to record too.
