  • Drafting is unnecessary. We as architects waist too much time on redundant stupid work. First, architecture is getting completely automated. Second, we should move to prefabricated architecture.

The interesting part is not to make everything fully parametric (it is too inflexible untill the permit design is finished), but how to communicate in just 3D under time stress. 3D is still only a representation of the work and now requires a new language for communication between parties. How to communicate exact measurements, window types, etc. in an worldwide industry standard without using the old-fashioned 2D plans? The answer is in rapid development in the context of BIM, but we still need a few years to have that architectural 3D language finalized

So true. Obsolete work and stubborn attachment to archaic methods led me to quit the architects’ corporate all-together. For interior design, clients are appreciating new forms of designing through integrated architecture more and more.

At the end it sounded like an advertising. But for the total impression thumbs up!

1.- what type of PC it is needed?
2.- what software it is needed, to do what you are explaining.

@ 4:34 minutes which programming language is this? It looks like JavaScript? @5 min, you forgot to mention elefront plugin. I want to get very at this. I know how to use Rhino and grasshopper. But I believe i am still a student and learning. The problem of having a 3D building with everything inside, requires to much computing data and power. Some people just simply can't afford that, and out computer manufacturers need to upgrade their standards to meet ours.

Are you currently using this method in your professional work? If it'd eliminate unnecessary work, this method should really be open source to improve the build industry for better or worse.

I agree 100% with this man. But, man, you know this revolution needs to be started with factory software and implying modern bim equipment. They won't waste money and time on that.

I wanted to start on the Rhino C++ course, but during the video where you explain what software to use you specifically said to use Windows. Why is that? I currently only work within OSX on a macbook pro and I have access to Rhino 6 and Visual Studio 2017 (for mac). I guess I could do bootcamp and have also Windows on my mac, but that will definately cause performance issues..
Would bootcamp work sufficiently? I mean I am planning on buying a very strong imac anyway..
