Anime Auntie, my vet was pretty much like that. Unless it was for the same thing that they had been in for. But some of my dogs needed more than an allergy pill or something like that. Maybe if you have the right mindset and purpose in mind you can do most anything. And then even though they cried and it was hard, they did find a good home, and could go on to help other dogs. It must be heart-breaking for him to see dogs come in like that. It’s hard enough watching it, but to actually be there, personally taking care of her, is probably a whole new level of pain. I’m so thankful they did such a wonderful job bringing out her happy, playful side. ❤️

I adopted a 7 yr old chi. Her owner had passed, friends took her, gave her to chi rescue, then fostered, then me. Got her 9-20-20. She never played with her toys til about a month ago. Just miss Purple Piggie. I was elated. Slowly she’s tKing them out of her area and shaking and tossing them, even the big ones Today 7-2-21, it brings me such joy to see her happy.

There’s a perfect dog for a perfect human for them… they are interchangeable… and that will go on forever. I truly believe this. For every single dog in the world, there is always going to be a perfect human (or humans 😉)…. ❤️

When the Dad said "I'm sorry" it really upset me and at the same time made me feel this profound joy that there are men out there with that kind of compassion. He was basically saying I'm sorry for the human race doing this to you, cause you don't deserve it. Nobody does. What a grand couple. Thank you for your empathy and love. Cause if you can feel that with animals, you are on a direct road to understanding and giving to other humans.

Pets are a lot like kids - IDEAL kids. They appreciate everything you do for them and make you feel like you are the most interesting person on earth. And they will never truly grow up. When your foster dog is adopted, it is like your child getting married. They still love you, but now they have a new family to love also.

My comment is directed to the family that gave her up. I am so thankful that they were kind enough to do that instead of just leaving her on her own. I watch a lot of rescues and it’s totally heartbreaking when a family dog is simply abandoned because of an eviction and or divorce. So here is a shout out to the original family that knew the right thing to do. We all have to encourage that behavior.
When the poor girl was in the tub - the look on her face when the angel man was whispering "I'm sorry" - gently petting her...that was tough to watch. So many tears. That's all that poor girl needed to hear. What a wonderful family and a lovely story.
She is so beautiful. I took in a stray pittie 6 years ago. She found us as my daughter was having yard sale, and her skin was badly infected. I posted flyers all around the neighborhood with no phone calls. Initially I thought about taking her to a shelter, but children convinced me not do that. She wasn't even a year yet, but still someone used as a breed dag. To make a long story short, I decided to keep her and name her Gunnie. God Blessed me when she came into my life, and I truly mean that. She went from homeless, to sleeping in a nice warm bed every night and day and sometimes she sleeps her own bed, lol. My children always tell me I treat Gunnie better than them, when they were growing up.
SHE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE ! ! ! ! ! ! the look in her eyes woooow hooooohhhh wow . . ! ! ! Poor thing......Glad life is better now for her !

Most people see animals as robots. Also when our four , dumbbutt Father's made laws . They did not see animals as important. That's why there is no strong laws. If we all ban together, we can change it. It will take time like all changes , but it can be done.
You guys that foster, & do all of the work to heal that animal's body & spirit...& then selflessly find the right person to adopt that puppy (ie: take them away from you in order to give them their best life)...you guys are HEROES!!! Please also have some compassion for the family that was falling apart, facing homelessness and possibly hunger as well. They surrendered the dog instead of tying it to a post somewhere to starve. It is heartbreaking to have to surrender then life is also falling apart around you .
Yea, they're facing a divorce too, i feel compassion for the family. Right, they surrendered the dog so that the dog can have a better life, not like those abusers or that deliberately abandon their pets. They just couldn't afford to take care of the dog anymore so they made the right decision to surrender it.
Yes, in the end, they did what was best for the dog but her skin condition did not happen overnight. They obviously couldn't take care of her to begin with and should've given her up before they fell on hard times. This poor baby was suffering long before the family surrendered her. If you can't adequately take care of a dog or afford to you shouldn't get one, period.

Because the Dodo needs to come up with titles that will make people watch the video. Every video is about a cute animal, but they can't call every video 'Cute Dog', or 'Dog Is Adopted', because those titles fit hundreds of their videos. They need to come up with a unique feature of each video, and then use that as the title to differentiate it from the others. In this case, it's the game the dog plays with the cat.
What everyone else says - essentially it’s “click bait.” Especially when the “game” is just the dog licking the cat and the cat batting the dog. Not exactly an invented game... But still a sweet video.

Fostering is rewarding, wonderful, painful and essential. Do you cry when they go? Yes., but it means you can help another pup.

Absolutely adorable! But why's the title about a cat teaching her how to play when the cat is only mentioned once?... It was the least prominent part of this story.
Because the Dodo needs to come up with titles that will make people watch the video. Every video is about a cute animal, but they can't call every video 'Cute Dog', or 'Dog Is Adopted', because those titles fit hundreds of their videos. They need to come up with a unique feature of each video, and then use that as the title to differentiate it from the others. In this case, it's the game the dog plays with the cat.

What everyone else says - essentially it’s “click bait.” Especially when the “game” is just the dog licking the cat and the cat batting the dog. Not exactly an invented game... But still a sweet video.
@@jp-sn6si Well they are a huge business making a whole lot of money, but they're ALSO raising awareness of animal welfare. Sometimes self-interest aligns with ethical things. Not that you accused The Dodo of not being ethical; I'm arguing against the people who think big business is automatically incompatible with ethics (many are, but not all).
Take opera houses; sure, they're making a lot of money, but they're ALSO keeping an art form alive and enriching people's lives (if those people like opera).

@@russtriking3398 I used to work at an animal shelter and that's exactly what was happening : u meet a dog who've known nothing but to fear humans and in a few days, weeks, month or more you get to earn his trust, and that's the most rewarding thing on earth, when this dog finally gets to love you, ask you for hugs or ask you to play with him
