  • While schools have faced one of their biggest challenges during the most recent lockdown, one primary school has not just been a support for its pupils but a lifeline for the whole community. Tarah Welsh has been to visit one of the largest housing estates to hear about the impact of lockdown on the people who live there.

      How very tragic!
      A place to call home!
      Access to undertake hygiene requirements!
Warmth and comfortable space to sleep!
      Occupied with digital entertainment!
Ohhhh, how unfortunate they must've been!

These apartments yeah, but some can be nice. I'd rather live in a nice modern apartment in the city than a cookie-cutter house in suburbia

Roheampton is a strange estate. Just round the corner from Richmond park and some of the most expensive properties in this country. Inequality is a really big issue in this country.

I witnessed the struggle full on first hand...I pulled up outside my job and an Indian lady come out of her house and told me she and her mum hadn't eaten for 2 days can I have a quid I gave her about 7 quid in change, 3 hours later the lady come back to me with a big plate of rice and mince...in society the poor help eachother the rich do not

Oh this is so nostalgic. My Grandads flat was just across the road from Heathmere School, on Ibsley Gardens. End of an era when he died and the flat sold for the first time.

I’m not interested in their affairs but I felt that they didn’t think about those British people who were suffering from everything that happening in the U.K. We’re still in the lockdown.

Depending on their situations having two children is harder and I would suggest they should live in rooms if they want to save money at all rather than having an apartment since they still got that for free but have to pay rent and everything else and getting UC sometimes they don't pay you at all in a months and sometimes the money that you receive fluctuates a lot depending where you live. 140 pounds seems too low for two children, they should have given at least 300 quid. Maybe 140 was included onto the full amount as the UC doesn't really tell your what amount is what for.
